Samsong soup restaurant for dinner with in-laws: Jeju Eunhui-ne
In short
Jeju Eunhui-ne Haejangguk Goyang Samsong Branch is a haejangguk (hangover soup) restaurant on the first floor of a shopping building in Samsong, Goyang, a 4-minute walk from Starfield Goyang. The writer came with her in-laws and a 5-year-old and ordered 2 haejangguk, 2 naejangtang (beef tripe soup) and 1 small dombe pork, and found the broth sharp but clean and the pork tender enough that even a child off her food cleared her plate. Jeju Eunhui-ne Haejangguk Goyang Samsong Branch is an easy family dinner after shopping at Starfield.

Last weekend I finally got to spend some time with my in-laws, and we all headed to Starfield Goyang together. After shopping and looking around at this and that, I checked the time and realized it was already dinner time.
Eating inside Starfield seemed like it would be way too chaotic, so I searched around for good restaurants near Starfield and ended up at Jeju Eunhui-ne Haejangguk. Today I'll introduce Jeju Eunhui-ne Haejangguk Goyang Samsong Branch!
How long is the walk from Starfield Goyang?
Jeju Eunhui-ne Haejangguk Goyang Samsong Branch is a 4-minute walk from Starfield Goyang. There are honestly so many restaurants inside Starfield, but with all the crowds it gets pretty overwhelming, right~ So I looked for places nearby and found this one — I was able to walk here holding my kid's hand.
Storefront and parking at Jeju Eunhui-ne Haejangguk

The restaurant is on the first floor of a commercial building, so it's easy to find even on your first visit. There's a parking lot in the building, so it's convenient if you're driving, or you can just park at Starfield like I did.
What are the dining room and seating like?

As you can see, the interior of Jeju Eunhui-ne Haejangguk Goyang Samsong Branch had a clean, tidy atmosphere and looked great for family dining.

It's set up with table seating, and both the spacing between tables and the seats themselves are fairly generous.

Along with haejangguk (hangover soup), their signature dish, they also have naejangtang (beef tripe soup), dombe pork, and more. Usually when you go to a haejangguk place you just end up eating haejangguk, but here they have set menus too, so you can try a variety of things — I liked that.
What's on the menu?

What the family ordered
- 2 haejangguk
- 2 naejangtang
- 1 small dombe pork
How did the haejangguk taste?

First up, the signature haejangguk that my husband and I ordered!

The steaming hot broth was loaded with bean sprouts and seonji (congealed ox blood), so just one bowl was pretty filling.

The broth was spicy and sharp but not overly harsh, so the aftertaste wasn't heavy at all — clean and just right.

I think it's the bean sprouts especially that make the broth so refreshing — you end up polishing off a whole bowl of rice with it!

How is naejangtang different from haejangguk?
Next, the naejangtang my mother-in-law and brother-in-law ordered!

The naejangtang was packed with a generous amount of tripe, so if you're someone who loves offal, this is the place for you~

Compared to the haejangguk, the broth was richer and more savory, and the distinctive chewy texture of the tripe came through, making every bite enjoyable,,,☆

I was curious so I tried a bit myself, and there was no gamy smell at all, so it wasn't off-putting.

What did the 5-year-old eat?
Next up, the dombe pork our little one had :)

The meat itself wasn't dry at all and was so tender that even our kid, who's been in a picky-eating phase, finished the whole plate.

Even I thought it was mild and moist when I tried it, so it seems like a great option to bring kids to.

(Especially eating the haejangguk together with the dombe pork — pure bliss)
Is Jeju Eunhui-ne Haejangguk worth it for a family dinner?
Jeju Eunhui-ne Haejangguk Goyang Samsong Branch is located near Starfield Goyang, so it was great for shopping and then having dinner right after. The menu isn't just haejangguk — there are dishes kids can eat too, so when visiting as a family, it was nice to be able to order a variety of things. Every single dish was delicious, so I'd definitely visit again :)
If I had to point out one downside, since there are a lot of family visitors around Starfield, there are probably quite a few people eating with kids, right? So it would be perfect if they had a slightly wider variety of dishes that are easy for kids to eat.
If you're looking for good food near Starfield Goyang or a haejangguk restaurant in Samsong, definitely give Jeju Eunhui-ne Haejangguk a try.
