Samsong Station soup restaurant for solo tripe soup: Jeju Eunhui-ne
In short
Jeju Eunhui-ne Haejangguk Goyang Samsong Branch is a Jeju-style hangover soup restaurant in the Le Pen Hanse World 1st commercial building in Goyang, Gyeonggi, a 5-minute walk from both Samsong Station and Starfield. Dining solo on a chilly day, the writer had the tripe soup (13,000 won) and added 80g of dombe pork (boiled sliced pork) for just 7,000 won, making a 20,000 won set; the broth came packed with tripe, beef blood and bean sprouts and tasted clean with grated garlic stirred in. For a hot, filling meal alone, the tripe soup plus dombe pork combination at Jeju Eunhui-ne is the pick.

The weather's suddenly turning chilly, day by day. It's got me craving hot soup... and thinking back to my recent trip to Jeju, too. My body's been feeling run down, so I wanted a really filling meal and headed to Jeju Eunhui-ne Haejangguk near Samsong Station 🤗

Where is Jeju Eunhui-ne Haejangguk Goyang Samsong Branch, and what are the hours?
Jeju Eunhui-ne Haejangguk Goyang Samsong Branch is in the Le Pen Hanse World 1st commercial building, a 5-minute walk from Samsong Station and 5 minutes from Starfield. There are plenty of restaurants, bars, and cafés nearby, so it should be easy to find. Hours are daily 10am–10pm (Sunday from 9am), and Monday until 3:30pm.
Inside Jeju Eunhui-ne: seating and the menu lineup

This is the outdoor sign, and I noticed the braised cutlassfish is new?? Ooh. Boneless cutlassfish from Jeju sounds easy to eat.

Inside, there's a long communal table in the middle, and sofa-style seating on both ends that's great for solo diners or pairs — it's spacious!! I saw a lot of people eating alone, and quite a few families with kids too.

The signature menu is definitely the haejangguk (hangover soup)! If you prefer tripe over brisket/shank (me, that's me), order the naejangtang (tripe soup)! Prices are ₩12,000 and ₩13,000 respectively. Filling and affordable — so affordable. The new braised cutlassfish menu is even more of a bargain. Boneless cutlassfish for ₩15,000 👏 All menu items can be packed for takeout. I ate in the dining room, but there were quite a few takeout customers too. Delivery riders kept coming in.

Can one person order dombe pork too? The 20,000 won set
You might want a little dombe pork too, but ordering two full dishes alone feels like too much, price- and portion-wise. This is the solution 😊 Haejangguk + dombe pork = ₩20,000. It's an even better deal if you swap in tripe soup instead — still ₩20,000! There's also a set that includes braised cutlassfish, perfect for two people, and a dombe pork + seasoned tripe set that's great as a drinking snack! (I'll try that one next time haha)

This is the price when ordering dombe pork as a solo item — 120g for ₩13,000 is on the cheaper side, but honestly! Adding 80g for ₩7,000 to try it out feels like the better move haha. It also looks like a decent option if a group wants to make boiled pork the main dish.

Rice and broth are both free refills, and you can also choose whether to include the chili paste (dadegi) or beef blood, so you can customize the bowl to your taste 🙂

They give you an apron too, just in case the broth splashes — annoying if it happens.

The basic side dishes are radish kimchi, cheongyang chili peppers, and grated garlic. I portioned out what I wanted to eat.

They bring out the tasty multigrain rice first!
Is 80g of dombe pork worth the 7,000 won add-on?
The dombe pork arrived already 😍 About 6 slices of meat, along with lettuce, garlic-chili paste, and salted shrimp. I add a spoonful of rice and

wrapped it into a neat lettuce wrap and ate it 😊

For just ₩7,000 more, a surprisingly generous portion haha. The edges were chewy like jokbal (braised pig's feet) — really tasty! Not too thin, not too thick, no fishy smell at all, and wonderfully soft.
Tripe soup for 13,000 won, packed with tripe and beef blood

The tripe soup, loaded with tripe and beef blood 😍, arrived

and a whole clump of chili paste (dadegi) sits right in the middle. I stir it all in myself! (You can also ask to leave it out)
So much tripe, packed to the brim

Plenty of beef blood too

And crunchy bean sprouts, also plenty

I dip the tripe and beef blood in the tangy sauce that comes with it, and

when I scoop in a heaping spoonful of finely grated garlic into the broth,

the broth tastes truly refreshing 😊 As the weather gets colder, I highly, highly recommend Jeju Eunhui-ne Haejangguk near Samsong Station for a spicy, filling meal — the tripe soup plus dombe pork combo. Next time, I'll go for the seasoned tripe skin and the braised cutlassfish~
