After eating, I could walk straight across the street to the lake park for a stroll, and the all-you-can-eat eel was so good. That was my experience at Songrimbok Jangeo Freshwater Eel Unlimited Refill Cheongna Direct Branch.

The waiting area out front was really spacious too — you could wait comfortably, or even rest there for a bit after your meal.

I love the word 'unlimited refill' — being able to eat eel without worrying about the cost is just so nice.

The description about the eel was really nice too, and the last line hit me right in the heart.
We hope unexpected strokes of luck keep bursting into your life.
Such a warm message, the kind that lifts your mood — it could even become a good conversation topic if you come here as a Cheongna group dinner spot.

The menu is simply laid out — there are adult and child unlimited refill prices, and there are also single-item options for lunch, so it seemed fine for a lighter meal too.
Thick freshwater eel and the side dishes that come with it

The meat and eel came out neatly trimmed. I thought the eel would be sliced thin since it's all-you-can-eat, but it came out really cleanly cut and thick.

The basic table setting was generous too, and on top of that, you could go grab whatever side dishes or vegetables you wanted from the self-serve bar, which was great.

A wide dining hall and self-serve corner made for group dinners
Songrimbok Jangeo's Cheongna branch has plenty of room even for a big group — that's one reason I'd recommend it as a Cheongna group dinner spot. The wide spacing between seats was really nice too.

At the self-serve corner, you can easily grab more eel and meat whenever you need. There are also various sauces prepared, all neatly trimmed and ready to eat.

Lots of vegetable options too, right? I loved that garlic and mushrooms, my favorite sides, were there.

How to grill the eel over charcoal and eat it sam-hap style
We started grilling the first round of eel. Oh! The heat was weak at first, but once the charcoal caught, it blazed right up.

My partner has been to plenty of these places, so he cut everything neatly with scissors and set it all up properly, haha.

It grilled up golden brown quickly. The mushrooms grilled on charcoal too, and they paired really well with the eel.

With ginger sauce and pickled perilla leaves, it made its own kind of three-way combo, haha. The sauce was tasty too, without being too salty.

I also tried dipping it in salt — delicious. It had a mild, plain flavor that let you eat a lot of it.

We ate it with lettuce too — just perfect.

Honestly, I was already full just from the eel, but we decided to try some meat too and lightly grilled it up. The texture was great, and eating it together with the eel gave a whole different flavor.

À la carte sets and a walk to Cheongna Lake Park after dinner
This was the single-item set menu — it looked good even eaten this way. Since the eel comes already grilled, the makguksu (cold buckwheat noodles) seemed to taste even better alongside it. And after finishing the meal, walking around out front felt really nice too.
That was my visit to Songrimbok Jangeo Freshwater Eel Unlimited Refill Cheongna Direct Branch, which I'd recommend as a Cheongna group dinner spot. It's a great nearby restaurant for gatherings or dinners where you can eat without worrying about the cost.
