Gijang outlet restaurant with 8-person table for kids: Bueokgan
In short
Bueokgan Restaurant, Shinsegae Simon Busan Premium Outlets is a Western-style restaurant tucked inside the North wing of the Gijang Shinsegae Outlet in Busan. Visiting on a weekend around 11am for a family meal, we sat at an 8-person table with a baby chair in a spacious hall and ordered sweet potato fries, basil margherita, kung pao chicken pilaf, and shrimp anchovy oil pasta. With generous table spacing and genuinely kid-friendly service, it made for a satisfying family outing with a little one in tow.

Parking info and location

Bueokgan Restaurant, Shinsegae Simon Busan Premium Outlets, sits inside the Gijang Shinsegae Outlet. After parking and entering, it's tucked into the furthest-back spot of the North wing on the 1st floor, to the left. We arrived around 11am on a weekend and parking was pretty relaxed^^
Is it easy to visit with kids? Spacious, comfortable interior

The plush sofa and rocking horse by the entrance, along with the paintings on the wall, make it feel like a snapshot of some European living room.

The inside is much roomier than it looks from outside! The space itself is wide and the tables are generously spaced, giving off a calm, relaxed vibe. It's my favorite wood-on-wood interior style, so the moment I stepped in it felt so cozy and comfortable~~

There's a roomy 8-person table too, so even big families are welcome! Since a lot of families with kids visit, baby chairs and kids' tableware are well stocked, and the staff's service overall felt very kid-friendly^^

There are plenty of vintage-feeling furniture pieces and decor items, so it's fun just to look around.
What we ordered
- Sweet Potato Fries — ₩8,000
- Basil Margherita — ₩19,000
- Kung Pao Chicken Pilaf — ₩22,000
- Shrimp Anchovy Oil Pasta — ₩19,000

Sweet Potato Fries
Interestingly, Bueokgan doesn't have potato fries — it has sweet potato fries?! If both were on the menu I might have hesitated a bit, but since sweet potato fries — something I don't often get a chance to eat — is the only option here, it actually felt like a win?! You can hear the crunch the moment you bite in, this extreme crispiness! Coated in rice flour, making it twice as crispy as regular fries, these sweet potato fries are a total must-try^^

Shrimp Anchovy Oil Pasta
A generous portion of shrimp anchovy oil pasta. The deep, savory saltiness of the sauce spread through my whole mouth, and combined with the sharp bite of garlic, the plump shrimp, and the chewy noodles, the whole dish came together in a really harmonious way.

Shrimp with a plump, springy texture, packed full inside! And so big too — genuinely impressed~*^^*

Basil Margherita
Fresh basil aroma blending with the tomato sauce and chewy mozzarella — one bite in and it felt like I was somewhere in Europe.....?! ㅎ_ㅎ The foundation of any pizza is the dough! Crispy outside, chewy inside, the kind of taste that makes you want to keep chewing. The thickness was just right too — not too thick, not too thin!

Kung Pao Chicken Pilaf
The best-selling menu item at Bueokgan, the kung pao pilaf. A whole chicken leg piled on top for an overwhelming visual^^
The chicken leg was so big and packed with meat that we had to bring out scissors to cut it. The salty-spicy kung pao sauce paired so well with the light, oven-roasted chicken that had all the grease drained out. Usually by the middle of a pilaf you start to get a bit tired of it, but with this one, I was actually sad to reach the last spoonful.ㅠㅠ
Final thoughts
Spacious, comfortable interior, a wide variety of Western dishes, warm kid-friendly service, and food that was thoroughly satisfying — Bueokgan Restaurant in Gijang delivered on every front! Next time I'm at the outlet, I'll have to try everything I missed this time..ㅎ_ㅎ
