Gijang outlet restaurant lunch with basil margherita pizza: Bueokgan
In short
Bueokgan Restaurant is an Italian-style restaurant at Shinsegae Simon Busan Premium Outlets in Gijang, Busan. I often go shopping at Shinsegae Busan Premium Outlets, get hungry, and end up having a delicious Italian-style lunch 🤍 I usually shop first and eat midway through, but this time I thought, let’s eat before we start! So I looked up what was inside the outlet and rushed over to Bueokgan Restaurant at the Busan Shinsegae outlet :)

Bueokgan Restaurant location and visitor information
It’s across from the Daiso building, tucked into the left-hand side of the building with the SYSTEM and WINE stores.

Bueokgan has a free corkage service that lets you bring in up to three bottles of wine, which is handy to know, haha.

A spacious, comfortable atmosphere
As soon as I opened the door, the soft lighting made the whole restaurant feel warm and comfortable. It had the cozy feel of a little European café or a stylish home-dining space, haha. The restaurant was more spacious than I expected, and the seating was nicely spread out too! The tables weren’t crammed together, so I could enjoy my meal comfortably without being too conscious of the people next to me 😁

Ordering basil pizza and cream pasta
I sat down and quickly chose from the menu! Bueokgan has table ordering, so it was easy to order while looking at the photos. There were lots of options too, including pizza, pasta, gnocchi, steak, and pilaf. After much deliberation, I ordered the basil margherita pizza for ₩19,000, cream pasta for ₩18,000, sweet potato fries for ₩8,000, and a cola for ₩2,500! I visited in early September, and when I looked it up, it seems the prices have gone up a little nowㅠㅠ

You can’t leave cola out of an Italian-style meal, right? I took a sip before the food arrived.

A proper, classic cream pasta
The cream pasta came out first, followed by the rest of what we ordered one by one. I took a bite and, as expected, cream pasta never disappoints—so ridiculously good!! It was the kind of flavor that tells you what proper cream pasta should taste like. Maybe that’s why the portion felt a little too smallㅜㅜ (I just mean it was so good that I wanted more.)

Sweet potato fries I ordered out of curiosity
I always get French fries at beer places, but this restaurant had sweet potato fries, so I was curious and ordered them, haha. They were definitely fried, yet somehow tasted and felt wholesome. You should eat them while they’re warm! Dipping them in ketchup made me think a garlic dipping sauce would have been niceㅠㅠ Still, they were delicious. A bite of sweet potato fries after pasta, then another bite after pizza.

Margherita pizza recommended for basil lovers
The pizza came last. The basil margherita pizza was the real highlight! As a basil lover, I highly recommend itㅜㅜ You know it tastes even better with hot sauce, right? Putting pasta on top of the pizza was ridiculously good too. The dough was chewy yet fluffy, with a clean, delicious flavor.

A satisfying meal before shopping
Overall, I was very satisfied with the meal. Honestly, it can be hard to find truly tasty restaurants inside outlets, but Bueokgan Restaurant’s food quality was good, and the comfortable atmosphere and spacious setting made it even more satisfying.
I think it’s a good place to stop by when you want a tasty meal while shopping at Shinsegae Outlets :) There was a varied menu, so it was nice for choosing several things to share, and I was so pleased with the food overall that I want to try other dishes next time, haha. If you want to take care of both outlet shopping and a delicious meal in one go, Bueokgan Restaurant is worth keeping in mind! I think I’ll visit again the next time I’m at Shinsegae Outlets 😁
