Daegu café brunch with bridge views: Hands Coffee Dongchon Resort

I went to Hands Coffee Dongchon Resort Branch, a place I often visit for its view through the large windows, for brunch. This time, I ordered the Hands House Brunch Set and added the creamy mushroom pasta.

Where is it, and what is the parking like?

It is on Hyodong-ro 6-gil in Dong-gu, Daegu, near Daegu Il Meister High School. The original post lists its hours as 10 AM to 11 PM, open year-round. Among the cafés I have visited around Dongchon Resort, the parking lot felt quite spacious.

The first floor of the building is a restaurant, while the café occupies floors two through four. The ordering counter is on the second floor.

Which floor is best for sitting with a view?

My favorite view here is of Haemaji Bridge. There was seating on several floors, so I could look around and choose a spot.

The third floor is my favorite. It has plenty of tables, and I especially liked the view through the large windows. I was unable to photograph the fourth floor, but it has floor seating and an outdoor rooftop. It is also a space that families with children visit.

How do you order brunch, and until what time is it available?

On the second floor, I could order at a kiosk or directly with a staff member. I also looked around at products such as merchandise, coffee beans, tea bags, and cold brew.

The Naver listing I saw before my visit said brunch orders were available until 3 PM, but the café said they were available until 5 PM. That gave me time to order without rushing. The difference between the online information and the time confirmed at the café is worth noting.

There was also a wide selection of bakery items and cakes. I did not order the waffles I usually enjoy this time, but I wanted to have them again on my next visit.

What comes with the Hands House Brunch Set?

The Hands House Brunch Set came with one brunch plate and two long blacks. I felt this was an easygoing combination to enjoy, and I added an order of creamy mushroom pasta.

The brunch included house-baked ciabatta, handmade bratwurst sausage, an egg omelet, and a vegetable salad. I chose this menu because I wanted sausage.

They also provided a small serving of balsamic oil. The sausage was not overcooked, so it was moist and springy inside. It was a little salty, though, which made it good to eat with the bread.

What did the creamy mushroom pasta taste like?

The creamy mushroom pasta had durum wheat linguine with several kinds of mushrooms and a rich cream sauce. I could taste a truffle aroma as I ate it.

The sauce was thick and savory. Mixing in the garlic onion added more flavor, and the chewy linguine was well seasoned too.

The ciabatta from the brunch was fluffy and soft. I dipped it in balsamic oil too, but I especially liked having it with the pasta sauce.

The weather was nice that day, and it was relaxing to look out the window while having brunch. Adding brunch and pasta to a view I already liked made for a satisfying visit.
