A place that sells domestic fresh trotters same-day, so you can enjoy warm, chewy jokbal. The menu ranges from jokbal to bulljokbal, bossam, and BBQ salt-grilled pork, so there's plenty to pick from depending on your taste. It's also close to Sanghyeon Station, easy to get to, and has an outdoor-tent kind of atmosphere that works well for group dinners or drinks.

Finding Cheongdam Jokbal close to Sanghyeon Station
When you're looking for somewhere good to eat and have a drink in the evening, it can be surprisingly hard to decide. This time I wanted jokbal, so I went to Cheongdam Jokbal Gwanggyo Sanghyeon Branch.
Above all, it was really close to Sanghyeon Station, so it was easy to find, and there were quite a few bars nearby, making it a good spot for evening plans. I thought I could have jokbal here for the first round, then check the vibe and move on to a second round nearby haha.
The store had a bit more of an outdoor-tent feel than a typical jokbal place, so visiting in the evening, the atmosphere was pretty nice. Rather than a stiff, formal restaurant, it felt like a comfortable spot to sit, eat good food, and chat, which I liked. The staff were especially kind, so even on my first visit I could eat comfortably.

Domestic fresh trotters sold the same day
Cheongdam Jokbal Gwanggyo Sanghyeon Branch apparently sells domestic fresh trotters same-day. Jokbal really does taste different when eaten warm. Here, freshly boiled warm jokbal is the signature menu, so I thought jokbal lovers should try it at least once.

What I particularly care about with jokbal is the skin, and here the chewy texture really came through, which I liked. I prefer jokbal where the skin and meat have life to the texture together, rather than just a lot of dry lean meat, so this was even more delicious. The warm jokbal had that particular softness too, so it was fine eaten plain, and it also paired well with the side dishes.

Flame-grilled bulljokbal: the pick if you like it spicy
What paired especially well with the jokbal this time was the flame-grilled bulljokbal (spicy grilled trotters). Ordering just jokbal alone tends to be mostly mild flavors, but pairing it with spicy bulljokbal kept me reaching for more. The spicy sauce with a smoky char went well with the chewy texture of the jokbal.

And surprisingly, what stuck in my memory was the bean sprout soup. It had a peppery kick, so after eating spicy bulljokbal, a spoonful of it felt like it reset my palate a bit. You know how having a soup on hand when eating spicy food makes you eat even better, right? haha
If, like me, you enjoy both mild jokbal and spicy food, pairing warm jokbal with bulljokbal together seems like a good combo.
Bossam on the menu too, so ordering was easy
I also liked that this isn't just a jokbal-only place — there's bossam (boiled pork wraps) and BBQ salt-grilled pork as options too. If you're looking for a bossam spot near Sanghyeon Station, this is worth keeping in mind too.
Bossam has a different kind of mild flavor from jokbal, so it's good for sharing across a menu when there's a group. If some people in your party like jokbal and others like bossam, you don't have to pick just one.
The BBQ salt-grilled pork is also apparently a popular menu item — if you prefer something milder than the spicy bulljokbal, this could be the pick. Having several menu options made it a comfortable place to visit with people who have different tastes.
Why the 50,000-won set suits a night of drinks
If you're visiting as a group, it's worth checking the set menus. The standout is the ₩50,000 set, which lets you enjoy both freshly boiled warm jokbal and flame-grilled bulljokbal together — a good fit if you want both. Personally, I enjoy eating different flavors together rather than sticking to one menu the whole time, since it doesn't get boring that way.
Also worth noting, hall dining customers get free makguksu and rice balls once as standard. A lot of people feel jokbal is a bit lacking without makguksu, right? haha. Being able to have tangy makguksu alongside rice balls made it good for a proper meal too.

They also mentioned rice balls are provided when you write a review event post, so if you're planning to visit, it's worth checking that ahead of time.
How Cheongdam Jokbal works for a group dinner near Sanghyeon Station
Having eaten here, I could see this working not just as a regular meal but as a group dinner spot near Sanghyeon Station. Being close to the station with plenty of bars around, making it easy to move to a second round after the first meal, was the biggest advantage.
Above all, having jokbal, bulljokbal, and bossam — dishes that are good for sharing among several people — also fits well for group get-togethers. The outdoor-tent kind of atmosphere also suited casual conversation and drinks rather than something too quiet or formal.
The staff were kind too, so I felt comfortable throughout the meal without any awkwardness. I think it would work well for dinner plans with friends, and also fine for a casual work dinner with coworkers.

Jokbal and peppery bean sprout soup: the combo to try
Here's a tip from my visit — warm jokbal tastes best eaten with the chewy skin and soft meat together, and pairing it with bulljokbal in between keeps your chopsticks moving thanks to the spicy kick.
- Eat warm jokbal with chewy skin + soft meat together
- Refresh your palate now and then with spicy flame-grilled bulljokbal
- Reset the heat with the peppery bean sprout soup
- Round it out with the complimentary makguksu and rice balls
- If there's a group, order warm jokbal and bulljokbal together to share
Add in the peppery bean sprout soup and it balances out the spice nicely in between. And since makguksu and rice balls are included, I'd recommend not just eating jokbal alone but pairing it in various ways. Especially in a group, ordering warm jokbal and bulljokbal together and sharing lets everyone eat according to their own taste.
Would I return to Cheongdam Jokbal for jokbal near Sanghyeon Station?
After this visit, I understood why people looking for jokbal near Sanghyeon Station care about menu variety and location when choosing a place. Being close to Sanghyeon Station made it easy to get to, and with plenty of bars nearby, it was also convenient to move on after the meal.
Above all, I liked being able to choose from warm jokbal, spicy bulljokbal, and mild bossam depending on who I was with. The chewy skin texture of the jokbal was great, and the combo of spicy bulljokbal with bean sprout soup stuck with me.
The atmosphere was a comfortable outdoor-tent vibe, good for drinks with friends and also fitting for larger group gatherings. The kind staff was another plus!
If you're looking for a dinner spot near Sanghyeon Station with jokbal or bossam on the menu, Cheongdam Jokbal Gwanggyo Sanghyeon Branch is worth considering. Next time, I'm curious about the other menu items, so I'd probably try the BBQ salt-grilled pork or bossam haha.
