Cheongdam spa in Seoul: 2-hour contouring facial at Clermont Monde

Today I've brought a review of Clermont Monde in Gangnam that I really, truly recommend for facial contouring haha :D

Facial contouring, lymphatic drainage, pre-wedding care — all super hot right now, and this is a place where you can really feel that Cheongdam quality, so I'm writing this post with genuine enthusiasm 😉

How much is the contouring facial at Clermont Monde, and what is in the course?

Clermont Monde Cheongdam's facial contouring treatment is ₩198,000, and they're open 11:20-19:30 at 43 Dosan-daero 92-gil, Gangnam-gu, Seoul. Of course, you need to book in advance!

Even though it's called facial contouring, it actually covers face plus decolletage (forearms, chest, back), and even facial pore care and a simple scalp treatment are included, so it takes about 1.5 to 2 hours.

It's under 10 minutes on foot from Cheongdam Station so it's easy to reach walking, and parking is supported too, so just come however's convenient for you!

Consultation and customer chart at Clermont Monde

When you walk into Clermont Monde Cheongdam, the director greets you warmly, checks your reservation, and then

you fill out a customer chart. Looking at the chart, the director asks simple questions to match your preferences — whether there are any products that don't suit your skin, or any aroma scents you dislike. I don't have any aroma dislikes, and the laser treatment I got at the dermatologist the day before wasn't the kind that strips the surface, so there wasn't much to worry about!

After the consultation ends, you change into a gown in the powder room

It feels like they're using an entire house as the aesthetic clinic, and it made me think — if only I had enough money, I'd want to come to a place like this all the time ^_^;;

After changing into the gown, you go up to the second floor and get shown to the treatment room!

Cleansing and scalp care

Naturally it starts with cleansing, and even from the cleansing stage it's full of care..🥺 The photo came out a bit funny, but like on the left, they remove point makeup like eyes and lips first, then do base makeup removal in 3 steps suited for low-irritation, sensitive skin!

And in between they massage the scalp too, which is pure heaven. I've been obsessed with massage, anma, and lymphatic care lately, and the director's pressure was quite strong, which was very satisfying!

Upper-body care: decolletage and back

For the upper-body care, my whole upper body was exposed so I couldn't bring myself to take photos, haha, but they carefully work everything from the decolletage line down to the stomach and back, and it's genuinely soooo refreshing

They use an oil that's thicker than regular oil, not quite as thick as honey, but it turned out to be a real secret weapon! They don't just slather on tons of oil — they use just enough not to overload the body while still giving plenty of moisture, and the director's pressure is so refreshing that I wondered how amazing this would feel as pre-wedding care ㅠㅠ

Facial contouring from the trapezius to the jawline

My current favorite facial contouring treatment✨ You know facial contouring needs to hurt a little to be effective, right? ^_^;; I've been wandering around like a nomad trying different places for the past two months, and Clermont Monde Cheongdam is genuinely a contouring hotspot👍🏻 Of course they crush the trapezius

And on the face too, along the jawline and cheek-to-side-jaw area, they feel out bone structure one bit at a time

• Tracing along the bone structure with their fingers
• Sometimes rolling it with their fist

and you can feel the tense muscles in your face releasing. Having been to a fair number of facial contouring places recently, I can now tell whether a place is good even from just a bit of treatment, and this time I really felt like I'd found the right place🥺

AHA, BHA and PHA pore care and exfoliation

I honestly can't quite remember whether this was before or after the contouring — there were so many steps — but the pore care unexpectedly turned out to be my favorite part..ㅎ

They apply one of AHA, BHA, or PHA (probably) to the whole face to soften the sebum for about 10-15 minutes, then use a machine like an aqua peel to thoroughly exfoliate on top of that, and after it's done, my skin texture was seriously wow...

I don't know if this comes across in the photo, but it's right before my period so my skin texture has just been sandpaper lately? I've even been going to the dermatologist because of small bumps that flared up into inflammation and I've been struggling so much, but my skin texture is just silk now. (Personally, the best exfoliation I've ever received at an aesthetic clinic..)

Upper-arm care and the heated bed

Going to a government-certified massage center has been one of my hobbies lately too (haha), so I'm pretty serious about body care, and the director at Clermont Monde Cheongdam is genuinely skilled.. Because of my job I use my neck, shoulders, and forearms a lot, and when you get proper care, there's that feeling of the arm tingling while being refreshingly released, right? But it wasn't just refreshing release — I felt like if I kept getting this regularly, my line would get prettier too ㅠㅠ

They crushed my trapezius too, which is my biggest problem area, and meanwhile the heated bed was warm while the AC kept things cool, and honestly it was pure bliss..;;

Is the 2-hour course worth it?

I tried to photograph the treatment in as much detail as possible, but toward the end there were quite a few steps I couldn't capture — an aloe pack, a modeling pack, scalp massage, and more.

And I'm the type who's bad at waiting, so I usually hate treatments that take a long time, but with care this thorough, forget 2 hours... I could've done 4 hours haha;; It was such a genuinely happy treatment day.

If you're looking for facial contouring in Gangnam, please don't waste your money going somewhere random — I sincerely recommend getting proper treatment at Clermont Monde Cheongdam while you're at it 🥺🥺
