Seongdong Italian restaurant with parking and butter pasta: Sedici
In short
Sedici is an Italian restaurant on the first floor of Arc Valley in Seongdong, Seoul. I tried beef tartare with brioche, fried potato gnocchi with Chodang corn, and butter pasta with four plump shrimp. Verdict: Sedici is a polished, quiet choice for a parking-friendly meal in Seongsu.

I’ve had so many meetups in Seongsu that I’ve tried lots of good restaurants, cafés, and bakeries around here. Today, I’m leaving a review of Sedici, where I went when I was craving pasta. It’s hard to find a restaurant with parking in Seongsu, but this place even has parking available!! I had everything from tartare to gnocchi and pasta, so let me share the details.

For parking, you can use the underground parking garage in the restaurant building, Arc Valley. They support 1 hour on weekdays and 2 hours on weekends!! Since it’s Seongsu, I naturally assumed parking wouldn’t be possible, so I didn’t bring my car—but I totally could have.

It’s on the first floor of Arc Valley, so I could spot the sign from quite a distance as I walked over.

A quiet, polished space for gatherings
The polished atmosphere won me over as soon as I walked in. It would be great for a casual meetup, but the quiet, sophisticated setting also feels perfect for an important gathering—like a wedding invitation meetup or catching up with friends you haven’t seen in ages. There are table areas on both sides, and I was seated at a long table with partitions. With tables this long, it seems like a good spot for group reservations too.

There’s space beside the seat for your bag, and there’s also a clothes rack in one corner of the restaurant. It’s full of those little thoughtful touches.

What we ordered
- Beef tartare + brioche
- Butter pasta
- Fried potato gnocchi with Chodang corn
I’m normally not very good with rich food, so whenever I eat Western food, I always make sure to order at least one salad, tomato pasta, or spicy dish. But for some reason, I was craving rich food that day. So I ordered the butter pasta and fried potato gnocchi with Chodang corn, plus tartare as an appetizer.

Beef tartare with brioche
You can order the tartare on its own, but I added brioche! To give you the conclusion first: if you order the tartare, definitely add the brioche. The tartare looked so beautiful that my anticipation shot right up the moment it arrived!!!

The tartare was delicious on its own, but it was so much better with the brioche. The brioche comes lightly toasted, and the crisp-outside, soft-inside brioche goes so well with the tartare.

By the time we were nearly finished with the tartare, all the food we ordered had arrived. Shredded cabbage pickles also come with it to eat alongside the dishes. Whenever the richness starts to build up, a bite of the cabbage pickles is perfect for settling it down. They felt much more refreshing than cucumber pickles, which I loved.

How I ate the fried potato gnocchi with Chodang corn
This is the fried potato gnocchi with Chodang corn. Corn has been especially good lately, so I ordered this one with even higher expectations. There’s cream sauce underneath, fried gnocchi scattered through the middle, and corn and cheese on top. I’ve had gnocchi in all sorts of places, but this was my first time seeing it fried.

The corn is neatly prepared so you can eat it right away. You absolutely have to dip the fried potato gnocchi deeply into the sauce. The flavorful cream sauce and chewy fried potato gnocchi are such a perfect match. Add some corn on top, and its nutty sweetness works beautifully too.

Butter pasta with the aroma of Isigny butter
I ordered the butter pasta because they use Isigny butter!! I love the flavor of Isigny butter so much that I used to use it all the time when I was really into baking. As expected, perhaps because they use Isigny butter, a rich, nutty butter aroma came wafting out the moment the pasta arrived. And it even comes topped with four plump shrimp!
