Daejeon lash salon with a dramatic front curl: Banana Brow

Today I’m sharing my visit to Banana Brow in Goejeong-dong for a lash lift! I love a really lifted lash look, but the lashes at the inner corners are pretty sparse, so I wondered whether they would lift well even with a perm ㅠㅠ This time, even those few lashes were lifted right up, and I was sooo happy when I checked them afterward hahaha. I got the black-tint “soot” lash lift!

From in front of the Goejeong-dong Administrative Welfare Center, go into the alley between Haemul Mart and the flower shop. A look inside after arriving a little early

I arrived a little before my appointment that day and sat in the waiting area. There were chairs and cushions by the window, and it felt cozy with the sunlight coming in. There were candies beside them too, so I had one while I waited haha.

They also had drinks prepared separately! There were different kinds in a small refrigerator, so you could help yourself comfortably while waiting. There were yellow accents to match the shop name, and the Banana Brow sign was so cute that I kept glancing over there for no reason hahaha.

And something I really liked here… there was a comb and a curling iron in the powder room! After a lash lift, I’ve been lying down for so long that the back of my hair can get flattened or frizzy ㅠㅠ Sometimes my lashes look pretty but my hair is a little disappointing. Here, I could fix it before heading out, which was great. The thoughtfulness of having these ready is amazing… I think it would be super useful for anyone going straight to plans after their appointment!

When I went farther inside, there were so many certificates and trophies. Not just one or two—there was a whole row, so I looked around going, “Oh…” hahaha. It somehow made me feel even more confident before the treatment.

Before the treatment, they carefully asked what style I wanted, too. I said that rather than a natural, slightly lifted look, I prefer lashes lifted right up! I was especially worried about the sparse lashes at the inner corners, but it felt much more reassuring to explain the look I wanted first. I also liked that it was a private one-person salon, so I could get it done quietly. I really like this kind of atmosphere where I can just lie back and relax :)

What I got was the black-tint “soot” lash lift! On the price list, it was listed as a menu that includes a clinic treatment, nourishment, and black tinting.

The appointment where I lay down and fell asleep hahaha

The treatment space was neatly arranged, and the yellow blanket caught my eye. When I lay down on the bed, it was seriously plush. I had barely been lying there for any time at all and already felt like I might fall asleep hahaha.

Soft music was playing during the treatment, and it was so comfortable lying down that I got sleepy. I think I fell asleep halfway through haha. From what I remember, the treatment took about 50 minutes. Since I kept my eyes closed and lay there comfortably, it felt like it was over faster than I expected!

A tightly lifted curl, even on the few front lashes

When I checked at the end, they were lifted right up just as I wanted! Especially at the inner corners I had worried about! Even the few lashes there were lifted, and that was my favorite part ㅠㅠ When I get a lash lift, I want the curl to be clearly visible if I’m doing it at all, and this was exactly that kind of look, so I was satisfied.

Aftercare instructions and thoughtful extras

After the treatment, they give you a lash comb and a printed sheet with precautions. If you only hear it verbally, it can get confusing once you get home, but having it on paper made it easy to check again. The comb was included too, so I didn’t need to prepare one separately!

The instruction sheet from the salon said to wash with water after 3 hours, and to take care not to rub my eyes or press down my lashes. It also said to avoid eyelash curlers and heated lash curlers, and to brush the lashes upward with the brush. I want to keep this pretty lifted curl looking good, so I’m going to follow the instructions they gave me :) They said they could give me iced tea at the end, but I was full then, so I said I was okay. Thank you for taking care of me right to the end haha. There was also a handwritten sign near the exit telling customers to take a drink each. You could feel the owner’s kindness in little things like that, too!

I was happy that even my short, sparse inner-corner lashes were lifted right up exactly as I wanted! The plush bed made the treatment comfortable, and I liked being able to fix my hair before heading out.
