I finally made it to Ssosam 208 Suwon Station Branch, famous as one of the best BBQ restaurants near Suwon Station.
Ssosam Suwon Station Branch takes Naver Reservations and the staff grill the meat for you, so I went hoping for an easy, hands-off meal — and it totally delivered! (Make sure to use the coupon when you reserve on Naver!!) Reserving on Naver gets you a woo-samgyeop doenjang-jjigae coupon, and leaving a receipt review gets you a lava cheese fondue.

How to get there from Suwon Station
The Suwon Station branch is located right across from AK Plaza. If you're walking, come out of Exit 12 or 13 of Suwon Station and keep walking straight — once you see the Changgo building, turn right and you'll find it!!
Is there parking at Ssosam 208?

There aren't many places near Suwon Station that offer parking support, but Ssosam does! I visited around 7 p.m. on a weekend and the parking lot was nice and empty. (They say you can get up to 2 hours of parking support with store use.)
Inside and outside the restaurant

The building is so flashy it stands out from far away! The 2nd floor is a raw fish restaurant and the 1st floor is Ssosam~~ Sounds like a great plan to eat meat first, then head upstairs for round two!!

I couldn't photograph the whole interior, but it's quite spacious overall.

And since the weather's gotten cooler lately, the doors were wide open, giving it that outdoor-tent-BBQ feel — I loved it!! Less meat smell clinging to your clothes, nice and breezy, just great.
Side dishes, including free-refill rice noodles

They put kimchi and tofu on the grill for you, and bring out various dipping sauces, scallion salad, and myeongi-namul.
And you also get rice noodles as a default side!! This is the perfect drinking snack while the meat's still cooking!!

The portion was bigger than I expected, and they said refills are available too!
Ordering the medium mixed stone-grill platter, 500g

Here's the menu. Most people order the stone-grill platter set~ There are single-item options too, so order to your taste.

My husband and I both love meat, so the two of us ordered the medium mixed stone-grill platter, 500g!!

Pork belly, pork neck, cheonkyeopsal — this is how the cuts come out. The staff grill it deliciously the moment it arrives~~

They piled the grill high with meat!! It browns up and cooks quickly! The cooked pieces get moved onto the flat plate in front of you!!

So tender, the meat was really delicious~~

I really love myeongi-namul, so my first bite was wrapped in that right away~ Next I wrapped a bite in a perilla leaf too, and ate it up happily!

Wasabi sauce and melotjeot anchovy dipping sauce
The wasabi-based sauce was surprisingly tasty too, so I dipped into it several times.

That melotjeot sauce you get in Jeju Island!! They have it here too!! I really love melotjeot, so I dunked my meat right in it... haha. With so many sauces and side dishes, everything disappeared fast~~

Adding makchang and mul-naengmyeon
So we also ordered an extra serving of makchang~~

And we ordered a refreshing mul-naengmyeon alongside it!!

Wrapping it together with the meat is pure bliss!

The makchang grilled up nice and savory, so straight in for a bite~~~

Coated generously in soybean powder, it was even more delicious.

Was dinner at Ssosam 208 worth it?
Before I knew it, we'd eaten it all... haha. I originally planned to order fried rice too, but I felt like I'd burst, so I couldn't order it. So disappointing I'll have to come back again soon!! With parking available, staff grilling the meat for you, and wide table spacing, this was a really comfortable place to eat.
