Mapo bar with fireworks festival TV and boneless barbecue: Kkoko Land
In short
Kkoko Land (꼬꼬랜드) is a large bar in Mapo, Seoul, with outdoor seating plus tables on the first and second floors. I watched a live fireworks festival broadcast on TV with boneless barbecue, fried chicken, beer, a welcome drink, and fruit punch from the receipt-review event. Verdict: A great spot for chicken and beer in the autumn evening breeze.

The night breeze has been so pleasantly cool lately—it really is the perfect season for a drink outdoors! This is a newly opened bar, and I visited Kkoko Land (꼬꼬랜드), a Hongdae outdoor bar, to properly soak up that outdoor-drinking vibe.
Kkoko Land’s outdoor area and venue size
Kkoko Land is on the first and second floors at 18 Wausan-ro 19-gil, Mapo-gu, Seoul, South Korea. It is open from 15:30 to 02:00, with last orders at 01:00.
Off to Kkoko Land~

It really did feel like Kkoko Land, just like the name, haha. It is a bar, but it was huge. It almost felt like entering an amusement park?

The first thing that caught my eye when I arrived was the incredible scale! It has one of Hongdae’s largest outdoor bar spaces•• There were so many outdoor tables that it never felt cramped at all.

The day I visited happened to be the day of a fireworks festival, so I could even watch the live fireworks broadcast on TV.

Beyond the outdoor area, there were loads of seats on both the first and second floors, so it looked well suited to company dinners or group gatherings.

Bar tables where you can sit and look outside, too.

Boneless barbecue, chicken, and fruit punch
They even gave us a welcome drink, and it tasted like Malibu? I like Kkoko Land even more for giving a welcome drink…
The boneless barbecue had a subtle smoky aroma. Its spicy-sweet sauce coated every piece and really clung to the palate.

It came with potato salad, corn, and salad, so it was perfect to have alongside!

Because it was charcoal-grilled over direct heat, it had that smoky flavor and the chicken was tender, haha.

Sipping a cold beer in the open air with the breeze blowing felt like all the stress of everyday life simply disappeared~~

I was curious about the fried chicken, so I ordered it! It is no secret that one chicken per person is the rule… Since it was boneless, it was easy to pick up piece by piece, haha. And the portion was enormous~

The receipt-review event’s “mini fruit punch.” It was only mini in name—the real serving was surprisingly generous. The sweet, chilled fruit punch freshened up my mouth and went perfectly with the chicken! If you visit, do not forget to join the review event and enjoy it properly, haha.

I was so satisfied to watch an atmospheric live broadcast on the big TV in Hongdae’s huge open-air seating area, while enjoying delicious chicken and cold beer all at once >< If you want to raise a refreshing beer at a Sangsu bar while feeling the autumn night breeze, this is an absolute must-visit hot spot!!!
