So I went to the hair salon today. My pretty straightened hair got instantly wrecked. T.T So after a lot of stress, I went to a Yeosu hair salon to get protein put back into it. That place is none other than Stern Hair!!

Stern Hair, which had been much loved in Yeosu's Soho-dong for its 1:1 custom hair consultations and careful attention, has finally expanded and moved near Hakdong District Office. Leaving behind the Soho-dong shop it called home for 5 years, it's now in a bigger, more private new space — and this is my heartfelt review of the clinic that filled my dried-out hair with moisture and protein there.

Near Hakdong Public Health Center: a sleeker, more comfortable salon

The newly opened Stern Hair is located at 20 Sicheongseo 4-gil, Yeosu, 2nd floor (behind the livestock cooperative, next to Kkakkungi Gukbap). It's a clean new building near Hakdong Health Center, so the exterior alone already looks sleek. The space is so much bigger and cleaner than the old shop that the openness was almost overwhelming! With the trendy interior, I felt like I was being treated at a premium salon.

Best of all, moving closer to the city center made it much more accessible, and I really loved how convenient the parking is!

Poodle hair after a simple S-curl perm — why a hair clinic was needed

On July 22nd my hair looked like this. I was really happy with it. The ends had loosened a bit, so I went to a salon just wanting an S-curl perm on the tips.

But there was a miscommunication and this is what happened. It was a place my mom told me to go to — a spot where ladies my mom's age go. I only wanted S-curls on the ends. But T.T my hair got completely ruined. Basically, from the front, it's a poodle. Totally frizzy, so I came in for a clinic treatment.

Clinic-only shampoo (impurity removal): clears out buildup on the hair's surface so nutrients can absorb well into a clean base. Designer Sojin's scalp acupressure is absolutely the best. If you want a scalp massage or scalp clinic, book with designer Sojin... she shampoos in such a satisfying way.

Steps 2 and 3: moisture clinic, then elasticity and hydration

Mist steam care: warm steam is applied while the protein settles firmly inside the hair.

Steps 4 and 5: the protein clinic with steam

Liquid and cream protein layering: moisture and highly concentrated protein are applied deep into the empty spaces inside the hair. With the designer's meticulous handling technique, she filled in the cuticle of every single strand. Just a lady getting pampered here, haha.

How did the hair look after Stern Hair's 5-step clinic?
