Pyeongtaek pork restaurant with unlimited soju: Jugeokjip
In short
Jugeokjip is a pork restaurant in Pyeongtaek, Gyeonggi, with marinated raw crab and a self-serve bar. I stayed for about 3 hours with my child and enjoyed tender pork, kid-friendly self-serve options, and attentive service. Verdict: a great-value pick for family meals and soju-focused work dinners.

A visit to Jugeokjip in Pyeongtaek with my child
I visited Jugeokjip in Pyeongtaek with my child for about three hours. I'd heard it was a great-value spot that was perfect for work dinners, and once I got there, I could clearly see why. The value-packed self-serve bar, the quality of the meat—and even more amazing, unlimited soju...!!! In this era of sky-high prices, it is definitely a place to catch up with friends and coworkers, haha. A bottle of soju at a typical restaurant costs around ₩4,000 these days, so if four people have just one bottle each, that's a ₩16,000 saving... amazing, right?

An easy choice for work dinners
The first thing I noticed at Jugeokjip was the overall value. Eating out isn't cheap these days, but with this selection and these prices, I thought it would be an easy, no-pressure choice for a work dinner. It was just right for a group to visit together and enjoy a variety of dishes. There was plenty on the menu, too.

A self-serve bar that was easy with a child
There was a self-serve bar, so we could enjoy a generous range of side dishes and accompaniments. Rather than receiving only a set selection of banchan (Korean side dishes), we could take as much as we wanted from the bar, which made it easy to eat our fill. This setup was especially useful when visiting with a child, since I could choose things that suited my child's taste. There were even marshmallows to grill for kids and tteokbokki (spicy rice cakes) at the self-serve bar, haha.

Pork and marinated raw crab together
The quality of the meat at Jugeokjip exceeded my expectations. I tried both the marinated raw crab and the pork, and both were fresh and delicious. The pork was especially memorable: the texture was tender, with a clean flavor and no unpleasant smell. It was clear that Jugeokjip had not compromised on meat quality just because it offers good value. At value restaurants, the meat texture can often be disappointing, but this was quite a bit better than expected.
Having the marinated raw crab alongside the pork also meant we could enjoy a wider range of flavors. The savory, umami-rich crab paired very satisfyingly with the tender pork.

Attentive service without having to ask
Beyond the food and the selection, the owner's service was impressive too. Their friendly manner made the whole meal pleasant. Thoughtful service like this naturally makes you want to come back. Even without pressing the call bell, they noticed what we needed and took care of us, which really showed their attentiveness.

Unlimited soju for work dinners
The most surprising part was that soju was served unlimited. A benefit like this is genuinely rare at a work dinner, and this one condition alone makes it much more appealing as a group-dining venue. Being able to relax and enjoy drinks without worrying about the cost was an incredible deal. Have pork, and the soju is unlimited... People who prefer soju rather than beer would be welcomed with open arms here, haha.
Highly recommended for work dinners

Recommended for both family meals and work dinners
Great value, quality meat, a well-stocked self-serve bar, friendly service, and unlimited soju. Jugeokjip had everything I could want in a work-dinner spot. I would strongly recommend it both for families visiting with children and for work dinners. As I mentioned earlier, it is especially great with friends who love soju. The meat quality is solid too, so food lovers should have more than enough to enjoy here.
