Jeonpo-dong, Busan bar open till 4am: raw beef kimchi roll at Ganbame

In short

Ganbame is a late-night bar in an alley near Jeonpo Station in Jeonpo-dong, Busan, open until 4am with baseball games on screen. On a second-round visit with a friend, the order was yukhoe mukeunji mari (raw beef and aged kimchi roll) at 18,900 won, a half plate of mungtigi (raw beef chunks) at 17,900 won and ice cream at 8,900 won, plus a refill of the free soft tofu side dish. The mungtigi was soft rather than chewy, closer to yuk-sashimi, but the chives and mungtigi dipping sauce made it a fresh, satisfying plate.

Hi everyone, this is Limju. It's been a while, but I finally made it back to the night-view, mood-filled alleys of Jeonpo-dong!! Jeonpo-dong is pretty even in daylight, but once night falls, every alley gets an extra layer of cozy, soft atmosphere that's perfect for a drink. Today I went with a friend to Ganbame, famous as a Jeonpo-dong go-to spot — and you can even watch baseball there! From the entrance the mood was already lovely, and every dish we ordered exceeded expectations, so I put together a pretty thorough (and biased, haha) write-up 😘 It's near Jeonpo Station, so it's not hard to find at all.

What is the atmosphere like in Ganbame's Jeonpo-dong alley?

Carrying that distinct Jeonpo-dong alley feeling, Ganbame's exterior and interior greet you with warm, cozy lighting right from the entrance. The lighting is dimmed just enough — not too dark — which creates an intimate mood where you end up focusing more on whoever you're with! The spacing between tables is also comfortable, making it great for a date with a partner or a chat with close friends ❤️❤️

What we ordered at Ganbame and what it cost

What I 📝ordered was: Yukhoe mukeunji mari (raw beef & aged kimchi roll) – ₩18,900 Mungtigi half plate – ₩17,900 Ice cream – ₩8,900 For a second-round visit, we ended up ordering quite a lot of anju (drinking snacks) haha. The menu was seriously varied. The day I went, the perilla cream pasta was sold out, which was such a shame. But besides that there are soup dishes, noodles, specialty items, pancakes and fried food, desserts and more — plenty for a first round meal or even a second or third round.

The free side dish: soft tofu with sesame dressing

The basic side dish is an extremely soft tofu topped with sesame dressing and bonito flakes — clean and fresh, exactly my style, so I got a refill haha.

Plating of Ganbame's yukhoe mukeunji mari (raw beef and aged kimchi roll)

Yukhoe mukeunji mari (raw beef and aged kimchi roll), 18,900 won

The raw beef and aged kimchi roll is made of yukhoe (raw beef) + perilla leaf + kimchi(?) fried rice + egg garnish, and dipping it in the sauce they give you was genuinely delicious!?!!! Plus the plating was so pretty that it'd be perfect for a date with someone you're just starting to see~~.

Half plate of mungtigi served with chives, gim, and mungtigi sauce

Mungtigi half plate, 17,900 won — texture closer to yuk-sashimi

Next came the mungtigi, served with chives, gim (seaweed) and mungtigi sauce. It wasn't chewy at all but soft — though personally, it felt more like yuk-sashimi than mungtigi. I got more of the softness of yuk-sashimi than the chewy bite of mungtigi, and honestly the softness suited my taste even better.

A wrapped bite with chives and mungtigi sauce

You know wrapping it up like this can't taste bad, right? Take a bite of this, then a sip of beer? That's paradise. You'll be tipsy in no time, everyone!!! The sweet-and-salty combo of chives + yuk-sashimi + mungtigi sauce was so fresh and delicious.

Ice cream topped with crushed Lotus biscuits and chocolate syrup

Ending the night with ice cream, 8,900 won

I was craving something cold and refreshing, so I ordered the ice cream, and it came sprinkled with crushed Lotus biscuits and chocolate syrup. All that fullness washed away with the cool ice cream ❤️ It's clean-looking too, so it's fun to photograph. If you're looking for a Jeonpo bar with genuinely good anju, or a nice-looking space for a date or a small gathering, this feels like the perfect spot to spend time with someone special. If you're in Jeonpo, I definitely recommend stopping by 🤎🤎
