A place that takes care of a satisfying meal for solo diners in Euljiro with one vegetable-packed keto gimbap.
I recommend it to anyone looking for a healthy meal while dining alone in Euljiro or near Euljiro 3-ga Station, anyone who wants neat takeaway packaging, anyone who wants to eat filling food while dieting, or anyone wanting a light meal while out exploring Hipjiro.
Why I chose it for a light dinner in Euljiro 3-ga

29 Tamago Euljiro Branch is a premium keto-and-fusion gimbap specialist near Euljiro 3-ga Station, known for rolls wrapped in whole egg omelet. I was passing near Hipjiro and wanted a light dinner, so I stopped in right away and got takeaway.
There are several ordinary snack-shop gimbap places and chain salad specialists around Euljiro, but 29 Tamago was distinctly different: it serves rice-free keto gimbap filled with vegetables alongside dishes that reinterpret Vietnamese spring rolls as gimbap. Unlike ordinary snack shops selling traditional, rice-focused gimbap, this place promotes wholesome health food with ingredients prepped that morning and cooked to order. That really stood out among the gimbap spots around Euljiro 3-ga.

It was conveniently a five-minute walk from exits 9 and 12 of Euljiro 3-ga Station. Parking is unavailable, so I recommend using the nearby Euljiro 3-ga street public parking lot.
Second-floor interior for solo dining in Euljiro

The shop is on the second floor, with large windows that let you eat while looking out over the Euljiro intersection.

At the window seats, you can even feel the breeze outside while eating. The seating is spacious enough for small groups, so it would also be easy for colleagues to visit together from Euljiro 3-ga Station or for a late-work dinner.
Keto, Vietnamese spring roll, and fusion gimbap menu
It is a simple, tasty keto gimbap specialist. There are keto, Vietnamese spring roll, fusion, side, and healthy drink options. Keto gimbap contains no rice, while fusion gimbap does contain rice. Sides include tteokbokki (spicy rice cakes), udon, buckwheat noodles, and jjolmyeon (chewy spicy noodles).

That day, I ordered Vietnamese spring roll (salad gimbap), cheese vegetable whole-egg gimbap, and keto vegetable gimbap. All three came to ₩31,000, but if you have just one roll, it is around ₩10,000 per person for a light Euljiro lunch or dinner.
From Vietnamese spring roll gimbap to keto vegetable gimbap

Vietnamese spring roll (salad gimbap) ₩12,000
This is 29 Tamago's signature Vietnamese spring roll keto gimbap, said to offer both healthfulness and flavor. Personally, the Vietnamese spring roll gimbap was the best of the three. I often find it bothersome to wrap Vietnamese spring rolls myself, but...

...having it come in gimbap form, ready to eat in one bite, was so much more convenient. One bite gave me the chewy texture of rice paper and the crispness of fresh vegetables packed inside at once. The more I chewed, the vegetables' gentle sweetness spread out, leaving a fresh, non-overpowering finish. The pineapple especially made it taste even cleaner. Dip it in the ssamjang mayo sauce.

Cheese vegetable whole-egg gimbap ₩9,500
This menu combines fresh vegetables, spicy fish cake, steamed Spam, cheddar cheese, and a whole egg omelet. The cheese vegetable whole-egg gimbap had layers of spicy fish cake, steamed Spam, and cheddar cheese, so each bite brought several ingredients together.

Wrapped in a whole egg omelet, it first gave way with a fluffy egg texture, followed by spicy fish cake and salty Spam. It was a familiar, delicious flavor and very satisfying. Dip it in wasabi mayo, and you can enjoy that wholesome yet indulgent taste with the spicy fish cake.

Keto vegetable gimbap ₩9,500
This vegetarian keto gimbap is packed with fresh vegetables and no rice, and it is said to be especially popular with people dieting. Even with absolutely no rice, the keto vegetable gimbap was surprisingly filling. It was so full of vegetables that I could hear the crunch with every bite, and when I finished, I felt comfortably light but full, which was fascinating. I am not usually a huge salad person, but in gimbap form it was filling and tasty enough that I think I would eat it often.

The keto vegetable gimbap and Vietnamese spring roll gimbap came with ssamjang mayo, while the cheese egg gimbap came with wasabi mayo. Dipping each roll in its sauce really brought out the flavor. In particular, the slightly sharp aroma of the wasabi mayo neatly cut through the saltiness of the cheese egg gimbap. The packaging was neat, and the containers themselves were designed for easy eating, making this a great takeaway spot around Euljiro 3-ga, too.
What I liked and what could be better

What I liked
- An accessible location, five minutes on foot from exits 9 and 12 of Euljiro 3-ga Station
- Rice-free keto gimbap filled with vegetables, so it feels easy to enjoy while dieting
- Second-floor seating overlooking the Euljiro intersection, with room for small gatherings
- Neat packaging and containers that are easy to eat from
What could be better
- There is no on-site parking, so you need to check nearby public parking
- The unusual format may feel unfamiliar to anyone looking for regular rice-filled gimbap
Overall
29 Tamago Euljiro Branch was a place where I could have a healthy yet filling meal while dining alone in Euljiro or near Euljiro 3-ga Station. From its signature interpretation of Vietnamese spring rolls as gimbap to keto vegetable gimbap that was filling even without rice, I would recommend it to anyone dieting or wanting something light. I think I will get takeaway again next time I am near Hipjiro.
