In short
Hunta Euljiro is a Japanese pork cutlet restaurant in Jung-gu, Seoul. The writer visited with her younger sister at 18:30 on a weekday, ordered 16,000 won hirekatsu and 14,000 won roskatsu set meals, and especially loved the juicy, tender tenderloin cutlet with scallion kimchi. Wedding-prep appointments again today~~ Days off are somehow the busiest. I’m getting bridal care near Euljiro..>< Every teacher there recommended Hunta as an amazing Euljiro pork cutlet spot, so I’m taking my younger sister along🩵

Hunta Euljiro location and parking
About 200 m from Euljiro 1-ga Station Exit 1-1! If you’re driving, you can park in the building garage, but it’s paid parking, so keep that in mind :) (₩3,000 for the first 30 minutes / ₩3,000 for each additional 30 minutes, maximum ₩18,000)

Lunch queues—what was dinner like?
It’s famous as an Euljiro lunch spot among nearby office workers, so you can basically assume there’ll be a queue at lunch..! You can join the waitlist through Catchtable, so I recommend getting on it quickly! I visited around 18:30 on a weekday evening, and luckily there was no wait~~ Lunchtime must be the fiercest, haha.

The wood-and-black interior is clean and upscale🖤🤎 The high ceiling immediately gives the place such an open feel! There are tables for two, tables for four, and bar seating where you can eat alone~ Hunta is an Euljiro pork cutlet spot where neither solo diners nor groups need to feel self-conscious👍👍

Table-kiosk ordering and the menu
Order at the kiosk on your table and pay upfront! Cooking takes around 10–15 minutes after you order.

Kiosk screens don’t always show up clearly in photos, haha, so I brought you this neat image menu instead!! There’s premium roskatsu, roskatsu, hirekatsu, cheese katsu, assorted katsu for trying a variety, katsudon (pork cutlet rice bowl), and even a kimchi stew set meal!! Such a wide menu🧡🧡 Plus beer🍻🍻 Only drinks that pair perfectly with pork cutlet, hehe.

- Hirekatsu set meal (₩16,000)
- Roskatsu set meal (₩14,000)
- Zero Cola (₩2,000)
Order complete, just like that😙😙

Pork cutlet from an owner who’s a katsu superfan
Hunta’s owner is apparently a total katsu superfan..>< They loved pork cutlet so much that for the past five years, they’ve traveled all around Korea as well as visiting famous katsu restaurants in Japan itself to study the flavors—an owner with serious pride! Pork cutlet made by a superfan..👏👏 Aren’t you excited?? They also have lots of sides to suit the katsu! Shichimi and Gaban black pepper are set out on the table.

A full spread of hirekatsu and roskatsu
Ta-da✨✨✨ Everything arrived as such a tidy full spread! Cabbage salad, soup, scallion kimchi, kkakdugi (cubed radish kimchi), pork cutlet sauce, salt, mustard/wasabi, and rice too! Sauces that go with pork cutlet everywhere

The hire (tenderloin) katsu set I ordered! It was juicy and soooo incredibly tender. Personally, I thought it tasted best with scallion kimchi or with pepper and salt💗💗💗 The salad has a corn flavor, which is absolutely perfect for corn-lover Dubing’s taste.

The ros (loin) katsu set my younger sister ordered! They use untrimmed loin with the fat cap still attached! At Hunta, an Euljiro pork cutlet favorite, they carefully select black-pig breeds and use a different aging method for each one to dramatically bring out the fat’s savory flavor and the meat juices.

Do you know Donbanggu, one of Korea’s top katsu influencers..?!! Donbanggu published a pork-cutlet bible called The Great Pork Cutlet Guide! Apparently, Hunta Euljiro was proudly listed among its “100 Great Katsu Restaurants” from among countless restaurants nationwide. Truly an Euljiro pork cutlet favorite👍👍👍 If such a discerning expert recognized its flavor and quality, you know it has to be delicious!!! Praise to my younger sister for saying she wanted pork cutlet~~
Both my younger sister and I were happy with Hunta Euljiro~ If you want a relaxed meal, I recommend dinner over lunch!!
