Yeouido after-work bar with rosé tteokbokki: Wine Joomak Chacha

In short

Wine Joomak Chacha Yeouido Station Branch is a wine bar on the 2nd floor of Estrenue, near Yeouido Station in Yeongdeungpo, Seoul. Ordering the beef belly rosé tteokbokki (stir-fried rice cakes) together with the truffle cheese jjapaghetti (black bean noodles) gave an easy back-and-forth between spicy-savory and salty-savory, and both went well with wine. Wine Joomak Chacha stays quiet enough for a drink after work, a date or a small gathering.

I was looking for somewhere with good vibes to have a drink in Yeouido, and ended up at Wine Joomak Chacha Yeouido Station Branch! Yeouido has so many offices that there are always dinners or meetups to plan, but finding a place that's not too loud, has good food, and a nice atmosphere is honestly a bit of a hassle. This time I went to Wine Joomak Chacha, which has a bunch of menu items that go well with wine — a solid pick if you're hunting for a good bar in Yeouido.

Where is Wine Joomak Chacha Yeouido Station Branch, and what is it like inside?

Wine Joomak Chacha Yeouido Station Branch is close to Yeouido Station, so it's easy to get to — great for an after-work gathering, a date, or a work dinner. It genuinely has a wine bar feel, but with a fairly wide food menu, so even people who don't know much about wine could visit without feeling out of place.

We ordered beef belly rosé tteokbokki (stir-fried rice cakes in rosé sauce) and truffle cheese jjapaghetti (black bean noodles). Just from the names, both dishes were exactly my kind of combo lol. Tteokbokki and jjapaghetti — hard to go wrong with that pairing, so we ordered without a second thought.

Beef belly rosé tteokbokki: bar snack or full meal?

The beef belly rosé tteokbokki came out first. The portion was bigger than expected, with rice cakes, sausage, and beef belly all in there, so it worked well both as a drinking snack and as something more filling. There was a generous pile of arugula on top too, which made it look pretty haha.

The rosé sauce wasn't too greasy — it had a spicy kick running through it, so I kept going back for more. The rice cakes had soaked up the sauce nicely, and eating them with the beef belly added a savory richness that was really good. Eating a bit of spicy tteokbokki between sips of wine turned out to be a better pairing than I expected.

How does the truffle cheese jjapaghetti taste?

And the one I was personally more excited for — truffle cheese jjapaghetti! It comes in a big bowl with the noodles, meat, and cheese all together, and the second it arrived, a rich, savory aroma hit me and I wanted to dig in right away.

It's not just plain jjapaghetti — there's a generous amount of meat on top plus cheese added in, making it much creamier and more savory. Mixing it well and eating the meat together with the noodles is genuinely delicious lol. It's the familiar jjapaghetti flavor, but with truffle aroma, cheese, and meat added, it's clearly leveled up into proper drinking-food territory.

Ordering the two together worked really well as a combo — the spicy-savory flavor of the rosé tteokbokki and the salty-savory flavor of the jjapaghetti were different enough to keep things interesting.
