Chilgok 3-jigu pho dinner with dry rice paper wraps: Raichen Chilgok
In short
Raichen Chilgok Branch is a Hanoi-style Vietnamese restaurant in the Chilgok 3-jigu area of Buk-gu, Daegu, cooking from recipes developed by its Hanoi-born owner. Over dinner the set for two (37,500 won) brought Hanoi pho, bun cha and banh xeo, and the banh xeo came with dry, unsoaked rice paper for wrapping and nuoc mam sauce for dipping — an unusual twist. With free parking at Heat Town and a short walk from Palgeo Station, Raichen Chilgok Branch is an easy recommendation for Vietnamese food lovers.

What is Raichen Chilgok Branch?
The day I went for a delicious dinner at Raichen Chilgok Branch, the pho spot in Chilgok 3-jigu💕 The Raichen brand cooks with recipes developed directly by its owner, a native of Hanoi, so honestly I was excited before I even got there.
Raichen Chilgok Branch has a mechanical parking lot in the Heat Town building, so I drove there this time, but it's also easy to reach by public transit, which makes it even better💓

The moment I opened the door and stepped in, I saw Vietnam-themed interior and lots of Vietnamese props that made me think of Vietnam — it almost felt like I'd traveled there, which I loved‼️

Raichen Chilgok Branch menu and the price of Set A for two
At Raichen Chilgok Branch you can order set menus that let you taste several dishes, or individual dishes. We decided to order the set for two from the set menu options🙋🏻♀️
- Set for two ✅️ ₩37,500
- Hanoi pho
- Bun cha
- Banh xeo

⬇️⬇️ How to enjoy Raichen's dishes For the pho, bun cha, banh xeo, and bun thit nuong, let's try eating them the recommended way🙋🏻♀️

The self-serve side dish bar
And tucked in one corner of Raichen Chilgok Branch is a self-serve bar for side dishes. You can eat as much pickled onion and pickled chili as you like, which pairs so well with Vietnamese food — good good👍🏻🤍

How does Set A for two taste? Hanoi pho, bun cha and banh xeo
While we chatted for a bit, our set for two arrived. I love Vietnamese food and every dish looked so good that I was excited even before eating — that's me right here🙋🏻♀️
- Set for two ✅️ ₩37,500
- Hanoi pho
- Bun cha
- Banh xeo

Hanoi pho
▫️Hanoi pho Hanoi-style pho, made not with pre-made broth but with beef bones and brisket simmered in-house for 24 hours

Maybe because it's made with broth simmered in-house rather than a pre-made one, the broth flavor was really deep. Personally, I thought the broth was so good I'd want to pour it into a tumbler and sip it on a cold winter day...❣️
How to eat the charcoal-grilled bun cha
▫️Bun cha Hanoi-style bun cha, grilled over real charcoal — the only place in Daegu and Gyeongbuk to do this — giving it a full smoky flavor
When eating bun cha, remember the tip: don't pour the sauce onto the ingredients — instead, dip the meat, noodles, and vegetables into the sauce and let them soak thoroughly‼️

Banh xeo wrapped in dry, unsoaked rice paper
▫️Banh xeo A Vietnamese-style savory pancake, one of Vietnam's representative dishes

Place the banh xeo, lettuce, and pickles on rice paper that hasn't been soaked in water, roll it up like a Vietnamese fresh spring roll, and dip it in nuoc mam sauce — it's seriously good💕

I was used to soaking rice paper in water when eating Vietnamese spring rolls, so eating unsoaked rice paper felt a little strange at first, but once I tried it the way the owner suggested, I got to taste a different side of Vietnamese food and it was satisfying — yep, that's me🙋🏻♀️

Final thoughts on Raichen Chilgok Branch
Pho, bun cha, banh xeo — not a single dish here was less than delicious. Raichen Chilgok Branch is a food heaven and the Vietnamese restaurant to know in Chilgok 3-jigu💓 You get authentic Hanoi-style Vietnamese cooking plus interior and props with strong local vibes, so it felt a little like being on a trip to Vietnam — not a secret that I loved that too...✨️
Raichen Chilgok Branch, the go-to pho spot in Chilgok 3-jigu, serves a wide range of Vietnamese dishes, so I recommend it to anyone who loves Vietnamese food🥹
