A Mexican restaurant near Oedaeap Station

Location of Eaters Mexican HUFS Branch near Oedaeap Station

It is incredibly close on foot to Oedaeap Station on Subway Line 1, making it absolutely perfect to reach by public transit. Step out of the station and stroll through the lively university-district atmosphere, and you will spot the restaurant in no time!

It is also in the commercial area near Hoegi, right by Kyung Hee University and Hankuk University of Foreign Studies, so it struck me as an ideal place for students to grab a satisfying meal during a break or after class. The neighborhood is packed with lovely, atmospheric large cafés and little lifestyle shops, too, so after filling up here, it could not be more perfect for a date itinerary that continues with a cup of coffee!

A spacious, pleasant interior for gatherings

Spacious interior of Eaters Mexican HUFS Branch

The moment I opened the door and stepped inside, the spacious, clean, comfortable interior immediately caught my eye. The tables were generously spaced apart, making this a wonderful place to focus entirely on our own meal without being distracted by conversations at nearby tables.

Restaurant interior with group seating

There were especially lots of group seats farther inside, and the seating was comfortable, making it just right for recommending as a gathering spot. Since it is near a university district, the roomy, pleasant tables were all set up perfectly for club dinners, semester-opening meetings, or small birthday parties with friends. The floors and tabletops were also so hygienically maintained—no stickiness or dust at all, just fresh and spotless!!

From platters to chimichangas: the menu

Once seated, I slowly looked over the menu and found it packed with a varied lineup of casual, delicious Mexican dishes in classic Tex-Mex style, so choosing was genuinely fun. There were plenty of tasty options even for Mexican-food beginners who are sensitive to spices or wary of unfamiliar cuisines!!

Platter and quesadilla menu selection

There were so many choices—taco platters, combo platters, quesadillas, chimichangas, and more—that I let out a happy little scream over what to eat. The platter selection really stood out for sharing a colorful spread of different dishes when visiting with several people, while the individual meal options looked very filling, too. For a university-area restaurant, the prices felt exceptionally reasonable and kind considering the quality and generous portions, so the value was a huge plus as well.

Trying the Signature Fajita and three dishes

A spread of fajita, chimichanga, and quesadilla

We ordered three dishes that day: the Signature Fajita (₩37,900), Mexican Chimichanga (₩18,900), and Mexican Chicken Quesadilla (₩15,900). They arrived with such enormous portions and gorgeous visuals that filled the table, and I vividly remember taking dozens of photos before we even started eating.

Signature Fajita with tortillas

The star of the meal, the Signature Fajita, came with both hard and soft tortillas, and the sauces could each be refilled once, so it was generous and delicious! I was so happy to pile ingredients onto either type of tortilla however I liked and make wraps big enough to burst my mouth!

And the chimichanga, one of my absolute favorite Tex-Mex dishes, was packed full of juicy meat, rice, and cheese. Seriously, it was the kind of combination that simply could not be bad.

The Mexican Chicken Quesadilla we had on the side was crisp outside, while moist cheese and tender chicken filled my mouth with flavor inside. It was the sort of taste anyone would enjoy, no matter their preferences.

Crispy Mexican Chicken Quesadilla

Every dish felt like real cooking filled with the chef's care and deep skill, rather than something casually assembled from ready-made ingredients, so I kept furrowing my brow in sincere deliciousness and devouring it at full speed. The restaurant was spacious and the staff were kind, too, so I enjoyed the genuinely comfortable, well-looked-after feeling throughout the meal—enough to recommend it as a gathering spot near Hoegi.

After tasting these generous dishes, carefully made with high-quality ingredients in the neat, stylish setting, all the fatigue I had built up seemed to disappear and I felt healed. I felt completely certain that whenever I suddenly crave truly high-quality, delicious Mexican food, I can just head straight here without hesitation. This was an all-time Hoegi favorite that perfectly won over my husband and me, with our picky palates, so I am absolutely planning to return soon and work my way through the other platters.
