Fix Chicken Dongtan Central Park Branch is one of the go-to spots near Dongtan Central Park, right in front of Gaenari Park. This is my second visit — it's a handmade fried chicken specialist that makes everything in-house, from the base brine to the powder and sauces⭐️ Using a special roast-and-fry method, they drain out the oil while keeping the batter crispy, giving you the textbook crispy-outside, juicy-inside chicken. Here's my weekend evening visit report✔️

Where is Fix Chicken Dongtan Central Park Branch, and where do you park?

Fix Chicken Dongtan Central Park Branch is located at 18-13 Dongtanbansong 3-gil, Dongtan-gu, Hwaseong-si, Gyeonggi-do. Hours are Tue-Sat 15:00-23:00 (last order 22:00) and Sun-Mon 15:40-22:00 (last order 21:00), closed every Sunday. Parking is available at the building, and they take group orders, takeout, delivery, and reservations, plus local currency, Zero Pay, and easy pay.

Located on the Gaenari Park food street in 1-Dongtan, where a bunch of good restaurants cluster together. I hadn't been to 1-Dongtan in a few months, but this chicken spot was still just as good!

There's a small dedicated parking lot right in front of the restaurant that fits a few cars, and if it's full, you can use the paid Gaenari Park public parking lot — just so you know.

Inside Fix Chicken: open seating and tables for 20 or more

The place itself is wide open like an outdoor pojangmacha (street tent bar), so it's great for sitting down with a beer in summer or cool spring/fall weather. They even have tables for groups of 20+, so it's a popular spot for second or third rounds of a group dinner — there's a big screen in the middle of the dining room too, so locals often come to watch baseball or soccer here.

They also have baby chairs, so it's easy to come with the family and kids, and there are even books set up on one side so you can read while you wait haha.

What we ordered: Fix/ganpung half-and-half chicken and garlic cheese whole potato

We ordered the chicken first, and while waiting, got tteokbokki (spicy rice cakes) and savory puffed rice crackers. Tteokbokki comes as a free side, which is great for anyone who loves it as a palate cleanser👍🏻

Cass draft beer 500ml for ₩4,500. While the chicken was frying, this cool Cass draft beer arrived first! Paired with the savory puffed rice crackers and tteokbokki, that cold beer really hit the spot >< With the cool fall breeze coming in and cold draft beer in hand, this is what makes life fun haha.

Fix/ganpung chicken ₩22,900, garlic cheese whole potatoes ₩3,900. We ordered the basic Fix (fried) chicken and ganpung (crispy sweet-and-sour) chicken half-and-half. I usually prefer yangnyeom chicken, but I heard their ganpung chicken was great, so I gave it a shot haha. And for the side, we also got the whole potatoes topped with garlic cheese sauce!

Starting with the fundamentals of chicken — the big drumstick. The drumsticks here are pretty large, so you can enjoy a full bite👌🏻 Every time I come to Fix Chicken, the outside is crispy and the inside is juicy and tender — a satisfying chicken spot every visit. And the chicken itself has no gamy smell, tasting fresh and savory.

The basic Fix chicken has just the right amount of brining, and since it's such a crispy-outside, juicy-inside chicken, even the breast meat is nice and tender. And most importantly, it's not overly greasy, so you can eat it all without feeling sick of it! The rice cakes fried alongside the chicken are also a special treat⭐️

I'm not a fan of dry, floury potatoes, but this garlic butter whole potato was moist, and the sauce was sweet with a nice hint of butter aroma~ It's the perfect match when eaten together with the chicken^^

And of course, no chicken meal is complete without a cola palate cleanser to finish off a delicious chimaek (chicken and beer) meal ><
