There's a parking lot in front of the restaurant that offers parking support if you register, plus an empty lot right next door where you can park, so anyone traveling to Seosan or just wanting a meal can visit comfortably.

Does arriving at opening on a weekend mean no wait?

Mikado Sushi, the sushi restaurant in Seokrim-dong, Seosan, is always popular enough to have a wait, so there's a waiting area for it. I did an opening rush on the weekend, so there was no wait yet when I arrived, but customers kept coming in while I was eating, and a wait had formed by the time I left. If you want to eat without waiting, I recommend the opening rush :)

Counter seats and how to order at Mikado Sushi

Seeing all the sushi plates going around on the rail made my already hungry stomach even hungrier, so following the staff's direction, I sat at a counter seat and started enjoying the delicious sushi. The space was divided from the next seat by a clear partition, so it was a comfortable meal. Sitting at the counter, you can see right in front of you what menu items are available, and I started happily agonizing over which flavors to try, reading through them one by one.

Among conveyor-belt sushi, I tend to love shrimp, and Mikado Sushi has so many shrimp menu items that I had a happy time eating shrimp sushi after shrimp sushi. Even though I did the opening rush, there were so many customers and enough of a wait forming that I couldn't fully photograph what the inside looked like — a bit of a shame, but I made up for that disappointment with the taste and dug in enthusiastically.

The freshness was so alive you could feel it even in photos, so I had an enjoyable meal of fresh sushi with no fishy taste at all. Even if you love raw fish, it's rough when there's a fishy taste, right? At Mikado Sushi I didn't feel that at all, which I loved!

Is the sushi at Mikado Sushi fishy at all?

So many menu items were prepared that I enjoyed the meal a lot, and the chefs would tell you which item was going up next, so if you listened closely you could grab freshly made sushi straight off the rail and eat it right away — the freshness practically popped in your mouth.

Is this a fried crab stick dish? I'm not sure of the exact name, but it was packed full inside, crispy outside and moist inside — a textbook example of crispy-outside, juicy-inside, and delicious.

Thinking back on the sushi I ate, it really was a day where I mostly demolished shrimp sushi haha. Looking at the photos, most of it was shrimp, but I also ate a variety of other things that day, like beef sashimi, freshwater eel, seasoned shrimp, and salmon sushi :)

How big is the mega shrimp?

True to its name, just look at the size of the mega shrimp!! It was packed with fresh shrimp flavor with no fishy taste, and eating it with the sauce and radish sprouts on the side was absolutely heavenly. If you want this menu item, just ask the chefs and they'll make it for you, so order it without any hesitation!

Is Mikado Sushi a good lunch stop on a Seosan day trip?

While planning this day trip to Seosan and looking up good restaurants, I was curious about Mikado Sushi since it always seemed to have a wait, and after visiting on this trip, I really felt why it's so popular and how good the food is.
