Today I'm bringing you my review of Base Burger, a Gwanggyo Avenue France favorite.

Where is Base Burger Gwanggyo Avenue France Branch, and what is it like inside?

Base Burger Gwanggyo Avenue France Branch is on the 2nd floor of Avenue France, and the interior is decorated in brown tones throughout. It's not a loud place, so it was nice for chatting quietly over burgers. Since it's inside Gwanggyo Avenue France, it seems like a great stop while shopping or on a date!

There were so many menu items I couldn't decide what to pick! Lots of burger types and lots of side dishes, so I agonized for a while.

You can see photos of every item on the kiosk when ordering! It's so much better choosing with pictures instead of just menu names~ There were many burger types, and I went with the Double Base Burger set, which has two beef patties.

Which sauces are free at Base Burger? 5 of 7 on request

Base Burger, this Gwanggyo Avenue France burger restaurant, lets you choose from 7 sauces. Except for the kkwari-gochu (shishito pepper) red mayo dip and truffle mayo dip, the other 5 sauces are free if you ask. Since it was my first visit, I requested all five free sauces!

The self-serve bar with unlimited potato chip refills

Base Burger has a pretty special self-serve bar. You can grab water, mayonnaise, ketchup, pepper, and potato chips here. I was wondering why there was no ketchup among the sauces — turns out it was here! I was so surprised to see unlimited potato chip refills at a burger place for the first time!

These chips tasted a bit like truffle, or maybe pepper — the flavor was pretty unique! A bit different from the plain chips I usually eat~ They suited my taste so much I wanted to come back just for these. The person eating chips nonstop before the burger even arrives? That's me haha. Unlimited refills, and if you run out you just tell staff and they'll bring more! So you can eat without worrying about it!

The Double Base Burger set finally arrived!

It looked really big on the kiosk screen, but when it came out it seemed smaller than expected — hmm, I thought. But I ended up so full I had to leave some behind — the portion is way more than it looks! With two patties inside, I got fuller and fuller as I ate~ Who was the one who thought it looked small at first?? Even a growing teenage boy could fill up on this!

Fries with all five Base Burger sauces poured on

The fries were salty and tasted like they'd been fried in a healthy oil even eaten plain — so good! Among the chains, they reminded me of Lotteria's fries! I poured all five sauces over them and worried it might be too salty, but no — so tasty! I want to go back just for the fries!! Best fries among Gwanggyo burger places I've had!!!

How spicy is the chilli mozzarella cheese bar?

I ordered the chilli mozzarella cheese bar, and it was way spicier than I expected! Like spicy tteokbokki (spicy rice cake) level heat. If you can't handle spicy food, I'd recommend a different menu item. But if you're craving something spicy, it's worth trying — a flavor you can't find anywhere else, I think! I got the mozzarella cheese bar from a receipt review event! Alternating a bite of chilli mozzarella and a bite of plain mozzarella cheese bar took the edge off nicely!

Is Base Burger Gwanggyo worth a visit? Final verdict

Personally, what stuck with me most about Base Burger wasn't just the burger, but the side dishes like the fries and potato chips. There were also plenty of sauces to mix and match, so it was fun finding a combo that suited my taste~ If you're looking for a good burger place in Gwanggyo Avenue France, Base Burger is worth a visit! I want to go back again just for the fries and chips~
