If you're looking for a good body-boosting restaurant to visit with family and relatives around Chuseok, listen up! I'm here to introduce an eel restaurant near Digital Media City Station that's reasonably priced and tastes great too. Starting my review of Ryeok Minmul Jangeogui Jeonmunjeom, an eel spot in Sangam-dong‼️
Ryeok Minmul Jangeogui Jeonmunjeom is located in Sangam-dong, near Digital Media City Station on the Airport Railroad line, so it was very easy to get to.

Even before going in, I could check the menu — from eel rice bowls great for lunch to salt, spicy, and soy-sauce grilled options, there was a good variety.

Is Ryeok a good eel restaurant for family gatherings and work dinners?
Inside, Ryeok Minmul Jangeogui Jeonmunjeom is set up with wide tables great for enjoying with a group. This place would be really good for group meetups or work dinners too!
You can also reserve ahead through Naver, so booking for a group meal is easy.

And in the tank, I could see super fresh eels haha. They were so fresh it was almost scary lol.

Soy-grilled eel for two at 57,000 won: the full order
As mentioned, Ryeok Minmul Jangeogui Jeonmunjeom's menu is split into rice bowls and grilled dishes, and since I prefer it hot and crispy, I went with the grilled version. The grilled eel also came in three types — salt, soy, and spicy — and I decided to order the soy-grilled eel made with traditional Japanese tare sauce.

- Price: ₩57,000 total for two
- Soy-grilled eel ₩28,000 × 2
- Rice ₩1,000
Extra items could also be ordered through the kiosk, and there was even a menu offered for review-event participants, so keep that in mind!

Side dishes and the house tare soy sauce at Ryeok
The eel comes out after being pre-grilled once, so first they gave us the basic side dishes haha.

The variety of side dishes was really something, right? All of them paired perfectly with the eel.

And this special soy sauce comes already brushed on, but dipping it once more is the real kicker, so make sure you do that haha.

Pre-grilled eel and the vegetables served alongside
Ta-da, here comes the pre-grilled eel‼️

Looks super appetizing, right lol. There were even sesame seeds and perilla leaves on top.

And mushrooms, pineapple, corn — all the side vegetables too‼️ The grilled pineapple and corn were absolutely a treat.

Take a look at the visual of the grilled eel haha. Starting off the energy recovery with perilla leaves first ✌️

How to finish grilling the eel at your table
Since the eel at Ryeok Minmul Jangeogui Jeonmunjeom comes pre-grilled, you just need to warm it up carefully without burning it.

The free spicy fish stew that comes with every grilled order
While the eel was grilling, the spicy fish stew showed up 👏 This comes as a free side when you order the grilled eel at Ryeok Minmul Jangeogui Jeonmunjeom, and it's seriously spicy and delicious.

Inside were two hearty chunks of fish 👍 Talk about great value haha. You could eat just this with rice and be happy.

How the soy-grilled eel tastes dipped in tare sauce
Time to taste the fully cooked eel!

As mentioned, I dipped it generously into the tare soy sauce haha. Totally crispy, tender, salty, and amazingly delicious.

The scallops that came alongside were also grilled up well and eaten haha.

After polishing off the eel, finishing with the spicy fish stew wrapped things up perfectly haha. It was packed not just with fish but clams, roe, and even dumpling soup dough lol.
