Dongtan lash salon 11mm J-curl extensions for round eyes: Moodmoa

Hi, it's Yeri :) Today I'm sharing my review after getting lash extensions done at Moodmoa Lash & Brow in Dongtan!

My eyes are round and a little protruding, so lash extensions are surprisingly tricky for me. If I just go with a length and curl that looks pretty on other people, it can end up looking way too much on my eyes 🥲

But if I go too natural, it feels like there was no point getting extensions at all.... I want my eyes to look more defined, but not in a way that stands out too much! You know that feeling, right?

This time at Moodmoa, I got extensions customized to my eye shape, and it turned out to be exactly the look I wanted, so I wanted to share it.

Inside Moodmoa Lash & Brow: what the salon feels like

Walking into Moodmoa Lash & Brow, the first thing I felt was a cozy, calm atmosphere.

The treatment area was neatly organized, which put my mind at ease right away.

On one side, there was information laid out about lash extensions and perm treatments. I was there for extensions this time, but I couldn't help reading through the perm options while I waited haha

Beyond the space itself, the technician made me feel really at ease. Even though it was our first time meeting, there was zero awkwardness — it felt just like chatting with a friend from next door!!

Which lash extensions suit round, protruding eyes?

My eyes are round and slightly protruding, so if the lashes are extended too much, my eyes end up looking even more prominent. So instead of automatically going long and full, it was important to find a design that suited my eyes naturally.

I mentioned that concern to the technician, and after looking at my eye shape, she went with an 11mm J-curl.

Honestly, just hearing the length, I thought, 'Isn't 11mm a bit too long?' But once the curl was also chosen to match my eyes, the result was really different. When I opened my eyes, my lashes looked naturally longer, and my eyes were clearly more defined.

They weren't curled up too sharply or applied too heavily, so I really loved it. This was exactly the 'done without looking done' vibe I wanted...! 🤍

Does the treatment sting? Falling asleep in the chair at Moodmoa

When I get lash treatments, if my eyes sting or even small touches bother me, I usually can't sleep. But this time, the technician's touch was incredibly gentle.

My eyes didn't sting at all during the treatment, and there was no discomfort, so at some point I just fell asleep hahaha. That's how comfortable it was — I got a full nap out of it 😂😂

When it was done and I checked the mirror, it looked natural head-on, and from the side, the lash line was so pretty that I kept checking it out.

I also want to show you the brush I was given at the end of the treatment. A brush inside a clear case, with an adorable turtle charm on top — isn't it too cute?

After getting lash extensions, you need a brush at home to lightly comb through the lashes, so it was great that they included one. It felt like such a thoughtful touch all the way to the end, and I left in a good mood haha

Is Moodmoa worth it for natural lash extensions in Dongtan?

I always worried that extensions would look too much on my round eyes, but this time, the 11mm J-curl turned out to be a really satisfying choice. The technician was easy to talk to, I got to relax the whole time, and the result was great too!!

It turned out natural and pretty, so it's a place I'll remember. Sharing my review for anyone in Dongtan looking for natural-looking lash extensions :)
