Drinks for two at Monthly Beer Guro Digital Complex Station Branch

My friend and I hadn't met up in a while, so we decided to have a simple drink together in Guro haha. We were looking for somewhere comfortable to sit and chat over some snacks, and ended up at Monthly Beer Guro Digital Complex Station Branch. It was easy to find near the station, and perfect for just the two of us to settle in without any pressure.

The vibe of the place was great for having a drink! It was nice chatting about this and that with my friend and just spending time comfortably haha.

What we ordered at Monthly Beer, and the free snacks
The two of us looked through the menu and decided on fried chicken gizzards and odolppyeo (chewy chicken cartilage). We figured both would pair well with drinks haha. The basic side dishes were jjanggu snacks and chicken-leg-shaped crackers haha.

We also ordered dalrae soju haha.

We ordered the chicken gizzards, and it came with pickled radish, chicken sauce, mayonnaise, and seasoned salt too haha.

While we were chatting, the odolppyeo and fried gizzards arrived haha.

How were the fried chicken gizzards?
First up, the fried chicken gizzards! They came out crispy, and honestly they smelled amazing even before we tasted them.

One bite in and they had a nice salty flavor — really tasty.

That signature crispy fried texture plus the saltiness meant we kept reaching for more haha.

A salad came alongside too, and between the two of us picking at everything, it disappeared faster than I expected.

How spicy is the odolppyeo (chicken cartilage)?
And then the odolppyeo we also ordered! It looked spicy just from the visuals, and taking a bite confirmed it — the chewy texture was fun, and it was salty and spicy at the same time!

It was a bit spicy for me since I'm bad with spice, but I think odolppyeo tastes even better with a little heat haha. Visiting with just one friend made it easy to chat comfortably while eating. The side dishes were more affordable than I expected too, so it was fine to order a few different things and share. Prices were on the cheaper side overall, making it a good spot for a casual drink haha.
