Sushi Doku The Songdo is a sushi restaurant in Songdo where you can get a full 10-piece sushi set with sides for a satisfying, hearty meal. It's located on the 2nd floor of Onesta Mall, right in front of Technopark Station.
It sits between Songhyeon-a and Triple Street, so it's a great spot to slot into a meal before or after shopping. I went in right at the Sunday 11am opening.
In this post I'm breaking down what's in the signature sushi set at Sushi Doku The Songdo and what time the weekend wait starts. For frequently asked questions like parking or reservations, check the bottom of the post :)
Where Sushi Doku The Songdo is and how long the weekend wait runs

Sushi Doku The Songdo is on the 2nd floor of Onesta Mall. Take the escalator up from the 1st floor and it's right there, across from Outback, so it was easy to find. If you're coming by subway, it's in front of Technopark Station; by car, you can use Onesta Mall's underground parking.

I went in right at the 11am opening and didn't have to wait for even a single party. But around 11:30am a line started forming at the entrance...! If you want to eat comfortably on the weekend, I'd recommend doing an opening run or making a reservation. Parking can be registered for 2 hours free at the store.

There were signs at the entrance with waiting and menu info, which was really nice — you could browse the menu while waiting. The break time was also clearly posted, and the whole place felt like it put real effort into giving basic info!
What is the seating like inside Sushi Doku The Songdo?

Inside, 4-person tables are the standard, and there are curtains hung between each table, which really gave a sense of privacy!

There's also seating further inside, which seemed like it'd be great for hosting guests or business meals :)
What comes in the ₩25,900 signature sushi set
We ordered the elegant signature sushi set. The elegant signature sushi set (10 pieces of sushi) is ₩25,900 per person.
The 10 pieces of sushi are made up of flounder, red seabream, salmon, squid, sweet shrimp, akami tuna, red shrimp, snow crab, eel, and ankimo (monkfish liver). Going from white fish to shrimp, eel, and ankimo, getting to taste such a variety on one plate is a real strength unique to Sushi Doku The Songdo.
Since it's a set meal, sides come along with it too — 1 shrimp tempura, 2 karaage, udon, salad, and chawanmushi are all included, and the udon and salad are refillable. With 10 pieces of sushi plus 3 pieces of fried food and salad/noodles on top, it was more than enough for a lunch — really filling!

The kitchen is an open-kitchen setup too, so we could watch the dishes come out in real time while waiting. The pace was fast, so it didn't take long before both sets arrived.
How the 10 pieces of sushi tasted

The first thing that caught my eye was the size of the sushi — all 10 pieces had fish generously draped over the rice, so with one bite the flavor of the fish filled my mouth first.
The freshness was great too. The mild white fish like flounder and red seabream were firm with no excess moisture, and the salmon and akami had a clean spread of fat. The sweet shrimp and red shrimp had a distinct sweetness, and the snow crab and ankimo brought a soft texture that broke up the rhythm — there wasn't a dull moment through all 10 pieces.

The sides did their job too — the shrimp tempura and karaage came out freshly fried, really crispy and perfectly seasoned, and a spoonful of udon broth in between reset my palate.
