Incheon BBQ with all-you-can-eat pork belly lunch: Daepae Sinhwa

In short

Daepae Sinhwa is a thin-sliced pork belly BBQ restaurant on Seochangbangsan-ro in Seochang-dong, Namdong-gu, Incheon. At weekday lunch, all-you-can-eat Korean daepae samgyeop (thin-sliced pork belly) with the salad bar costs 13,900 won, and on this visit two people ordered a la carte instead: 500g of pork belly plus doenjang jjigae (soybean paste stew) and rice for about 30,000 won total. With a wrap-vegetable spread wide enough that you reach for the greens before the meat, Daepae Sinhwa is a value-for-money grill worth going back to.

Table spread of pork belly at Daepae Sinhwa, a Seochang-dong BBQ restaurant
Vertical shot of Daepae Sinhwa's pork belly

Today I want to introduce a place I keep going back to in Seochang-dong: Daepae Sinhwa. It's a great-value restaurant in the neighborhood, so it's always busy with customers, whether it's weekday lunch, dinner, or the weekend.

Daepae Sinhwa's pork belly grilling on the pan

Prices have gone up so much lately that even eating out once feels like a burden, so it was extra welcome to find a place where you can eat plenty without stressing. Especially since the lunch special lets you enjoy all-you-can-eat Korean pork belly ssam (wrapped in lettuce) — that's why this Seochang-dong spot, Daepae Sinhwa, is so loved.

A full pork belly spread with wrap vegetables

I kept thinking about it after my first visit a while back, so I went again this time, and sure enough it didn't disappoint. There's often a wait whenever I go because it's so busy — but that's proof it's a tried-and-true favorite in Seochang-dong worth the wait.

Where is Daepae Sinhwa, and what about parking and hours?

Daepae Sinhwa's address is 51 Seochangbangsan-ro, 1st floor, Namdong-gu, Incheon, right across from Cheongsu Tower in Seochang-dong. It's on a main road, so it's easy to find, and the sign is easy to spot — no chance of getting lost.

You can use the building's basement parking, so there's no need to worry about where to park, and there's plenty of space even in the evenings, so parking isn't stressful at all. If you're coming by public transit, there's a bus stop nearby, so it shouldn't be too inconvenient either.

Daepae Sinhwa's entrance with business hours posted

They're open daily from 11:30am to 11pm, closed every Sunday, so it's worth double-checking before you head over. With no break time in between, you can always count on a satisfying meal whenever you visit. It gets especially busy at lunch, so I'd recommend reserving ahead.

At lunch, you can enjoy all-you-can-eat pork belly, so even on weekdays there were a ton of customers — lots of office workers, and plenty of families too.

Daepae Sinhwa's dining room full of lunchtime customers

Even on a weekday afternoon, seats filled up fast — go a little late and you might have to wait, that's how popular this Seochang-dong spot is.

Daepae Sinhwa's dining hall with generously spaced tables

The whole place is really clean and hygienic, which made the meal feel great from start to finish. The tables are spaced generously too, so you don't have to worry about the neighboring table while you eat! And with so many wrap vegetables coming out, I actually felt like grabbing veggies was a better deal than the pork belly itself, haha. If you love vegetables like I do, this spread will be really satisfying.

Family-friendly seating at Daepae Sinhwa

The atmosphere is relaxed enough to bring kids along too, so it's a Seochang-dong favorite among families as well.

Daepae Sinhwa menu and prices: how much is the all-you-can-eat lunch?

Daepae Sinhwa's menu is really simple. On weekday lunches only, everything from the pork belly to the salad bar is all-you-can-eat. Just note that there's no refill option in the evening.

Daepae Sinhwa's menu board with lunch special details

Kids 36 months and under eat free, the lunch-special all-you-can-eat Korean pork belly is ₩13,900, and pork belly by the 100g is ₩5,500. Considering frozen pork belly runs ₩7,500 per 100g, this felt like a genuinely reasonable price.

The quality for the price is excellent, so I thought it would make a perfect lunch spot for office workers near work 🤎 The menu isn't complicated at all, either, so first-time visitors can order without any hesitation.

Takeout is available too, so if you'd like to enjoy it comfortably at home, that's an option worth trying. If you live nearby, grabbing takeout every so often and enjoying it like a home-cooked meal sounds pretty great.

What's on the salad bar? Wrap vegetables at Daepae Sinhwa

The pride of this Seochang-dong favorite is the salad bar — especially the wide variety of wrap vegetables prepared so well that people say you get your money's worth from the veggies alone.

  • Rice, mushrooms, kimchi, eggplant, potato
  • Corn salad, onion, garlic, seasoned bean sprouts
  • Canned fruit, pickled radish for ssam, rice cake, bracken fern, and more

The salad bar is filled to the brim. There's such a wide variety that it's fun to make a new combination of wraps every time you visit.

Self-serve salad bar corner with side dishes and rice

You can refill it yourself comfortably too, so you can pile your plate as much as you like without feeling self-conscious — that's another perk unique to Daepae Sinhwa. Not having to worry about the staff noticing every trip made the meal feel more relaxed.

I especially love grilling the potato and eggplant. When else would you grill vegetables like this at home? It's one of the dishes I always make sure to eat whenever I come to Daepae Sinhwa. It was a strange experience reaching for the vegetables before the meat!

500g a la carte for two at about 30,000 won: where does the pork come from?

À la carte 500g pork belly with doenjang jjigae

Today I ordered à la carte instead of the all-you-can-eat option, and had 500g of pork belly with doenjang jjigae and rice — a filling meal that came to only around ₩30,000 for two people.

Pork belly and vegetables sizzling on the grill

In these high-price times, I felt so grateful for a Seochang-dong spot like this. I went in just for the value and ended up doubly satisfied because the food was delicious too.

A bite of pork belly wrapped in lettuce

All the vegetables are brought in fresh every day from Namchon Agricultural Wholesale Market, apparently. That's why they're able to offer them fresh and affordable, and I could trust that nothing is ever reused. Knowing the owner pays attention to details like this made it clear the restaurant is run with real care.

A table at Daepae Sinhwa after finishing the meal

The staff were kind and attentive too, which made the whole meal feel comfortable. This is a place where you can enjoy all-you-can-eat pork belly for around ₩10,000-something per person, or have a great meal ordering à la carte — I really recommend Daepae Sinhwa in Seochang-dong.

The grilled eggplant in particular is so good that I always end up eating a whole one by myself. If you're looking for a Korean BBQ restaurant in Seochang-dong, definitely pay Daepae Sinhwa a visit. It's a place I'd happily recommend for family gatherings or work dinners without any hesitation, and I'd love to tell anyone nearby looking for a Seochang-dong restaurant about it.
