Where do you go when you're craving good beef in Ingye-dong, Suwon? I hadn't had a family meal with my mom in a while, so I went looking for a good Ingye-dong beef restaurant. I wanted somewhere with upscale interiors and private rooms — good for taking your parents — easy parking, neatly served side dishes, and, most importantly, beef that actually tastes good. I searched carefully for a place that checked every box, and this was it, haha.

Easy parking, hanwoo (Korean beef) that melts in your mouth, a clean private-room interior, and staff who were super friendly — it made for a lovely family meal at this Ingye-dong beef restaurant, Yeongpo Hwa-ro. Let me give you an honest review of what we ordered and what I'd recommend!
Where is Yeongpo Hwa-ro Ingye Branch, and what about parking and hours?

Yeongpo Hwa-ro, a beef restaurant in Ingye-dong, Suwon, sits right on the Ingye-dong restaurant street. If you're coming by public transit, it's very close to Exit 10 of Suwon City Hall Station on the Suin-Bundang Line (2-3 minutes, tops?), and being right by the station, there are plenty of buses too, so access is great.
Especially if you're visiting for a family meal or a company dinner, you'll likely be driving, and there's a private parking space right in front of the restaurant, so parking was convenient. After parking, you just hand your key to the counter, and if there's a wait, there are comfortable seats by the entrance.
Since Gyeonggi Arts Center, Suwon Hyowon Park, and Ingye Art Park are all right nearby, it's also perfect for a meal after a walk or after enjoying a performance or some culture. They take group reservations and have rooms of various sizes, making it suitable for company dinners, family meals, and small events.

Private rooms for 6 to 22 people at Yeongpo Hwa-ro Ingye Branch

The upscale interior really stood out at this Ingye-dong beef restaurant, Yeongpo Hwa-ro.

Inside, you can even see autographs from celebrities who've visited. There are rooms of various sizes that can seat anywhere from 6 to 22 people, making it useful for all kinds of gatherings.
We sat in a quiet seat toward the back for our meal. There was a drawer by the table with spoons and napkins, and each table had a convenient tablet kiosk installed for easy ordering.
What comes with the 49,000-won hanwoo platter at Yeongpo Hwa-ro?

Since we'd made a reservation ahead of time, the table was neatly set when we arrived. Even the spoon rests were tidy and pretty, right?
Yeongpo Hwa-ro, this Ingye-dong beef restaurant, is also popular for its good-value lunch. The lunch menu, available from 11:00 to 16:00, includes hanwoo yukhoe bibimbap (raw beef mixed rice), minari galbitang (short rib soup with water celery), and kodari naengmyeon (cold noodles with dried pollock). It's reasonably priced and tasty, apparently a favorite among nearby office workers. Plus, they give you a free menu item if you write a receipt review after your meal, so that event might be worth joining.
This Suwon beef restaurant, Yeongpo Hwa-ro, has a variety of hanwoo (Korean beef) and hanwoo/hanu (native Korean beef and pork) menu items, and we went with hanwoo! I ordered two servings of the assorted hanwoo platter at ₩49,000 per person. It's said to be popular because it lets you enjoy several cuts of hanwoo at once — jebichuri (skirt), eupjinsal (flank), bucheotsal (chuck flap), galbisal (short rib finger meat), and more. Note that the exact cuts can vary depending on the day! My mom and I ordered two servings, ate it all, and then had doenjang sulbap and kodari naengmyeon on top of that — I nearly burst, haha.
The basic side dishes included scallion strips, myeong-i namul (wild garlic leaves), cucumber salad, kimchi, garlic and chili peppers, ssamjang (dipping sauce), wasabi, and salt. All of them paired well with the beef, so my hand kept reaching for them. Adding more side dishes was also easy — just one button on the kiosk. Eating the spicy scallion salad and crunchy cucumber salad between bites of beef cleansed the palate nicely, and it all made for a really enjoyable meal.
Tasting the water-aged hanwoo cuts in the order the staff recommends

Before we really got into eating, the charcoal came out, and the ventilation hood could adjust position, so the grill was moved to the center of the table for convenient grilling. The assorted hanwoo platter I had that day came with a variety of cuts — salchisal (top blade), bucheotsal (chuck flap), chimasal (skirt), galbisal (short rib finger meat), and more. I was impressed by how thoughtful they were, explaining each cut and even the order to eat them in. There were also mushrooms, sweet pumpkin, and shishito peppers, which taste even better grilled alongside the beef.

They grilled each piece over open charcoal flame one at a time — just looking at it, there's no way it wouldn't be delicious, right? Haha.
One thing especially worth noting about Yeongpo Hwa-ro is that the meat is water-aged. They say it's a method of managing the raw beef at a constant temperature below 2 degrees Celsius so it's less affected by outside temperature changes. Even with the same hanwoo, the texture and flavor really do change depending on how it's managed and aged, right?

But honestly, at this Ingye-dong beef restaurant in Suwon, the beef really does melt in your mouth, haha. My mom and I ate it while gushing over how good it was. The beef itself is so tasty that even dipped in just salt, the flavor is incredible — you can see the juices are still there, right? Haha.

Bucheotsal (chuck flap) isn't usually a cut I go for, but Yeongpo Hwa-ro's bucheotsal had no odor and wasn't tough at all — it was delicious.

There's another dish you can't skip at Yeongpo Hwa-ro — al-chadolbagi (hand-sliced beef brisket). We were too full to order it this time, but apparently it's Suwon's first al-chadolbagi, hand-sliced thin by a person rather than the usual machine-cut brisket. I definitely want to try it next time, and I hope you all get to experience it too!
Dipped in salt, topped with wasabi, wrapped in myeong-i namul — the side dishes were so neat and tasty that this Ingye-dong beef restaurant was easy to keep eating without getting tired of it.

Savoring each cut one by one, in order, made the assorted hanwoo platter at this Ingye-dong beef restaurant, Yeongpo Hwa-ro, even more satisfying. Eating our fill of high-quality hanwoo for ₩49,000 per person — the price isn't bad either, right? Haha.
Free doenjang sulbap and kodari cold noodles to finish the meal
Partway through, they gave us complimentary doenjang sulbap (soybean paste soup with rice). Don't you start craving soup and rice while eating beef? I'd been wanting to try the doenjang sulbap, apparently popular for being served with rice mixed right into the earthenware bowl, and... wow!
You really have to try this one ❤️
The doenjang sulbap was hearty and warming, and the portion was just right for two people to share. It had plenty of squash, tofu, and beef in it too — the beef was reeeally tender. Perfect as a dessert after the meat, don't you think?
If you want a more tangy, refreshing finish, cold noodles for dessert would be great too, right? We debated between the soup and the mixed version and went with kodari mul-naengmyeon (cold noodles with dried pollock in broth). The cool, slushy broth combined with the tangy, chewy texture of the seasoned dried pollock made it a real treat, different from regular mul-naengmyeon.

On the way out, the counter had mint candies along with hair ties, toothpicks, and even mouthwash — such a thoughtful touch. Rinsing your mouth clean with the mouthwash made for the perfect end to the meal, haha.

Is Yeongpo Hwa-ro Ingye Branch worth it for a family meal or work dinner?
With private rooms that can seat up to 22 people, and group bookings available for up to 76 people, this is a place I'd recommend if you're looking for a spacious spot for a family meal, an event, or a company dinner ✔️ Of course, the beef itself is 👍 — the assorted hanwoo platter we ordered was truly delicious, the doenjang sulbap and kodari naengmyeon were satisfying, the staff were friendly, and parking was convenient. If you're near Gyeonggi Arts Center, Nahyeseok-geori, or Suwon City Hall Station and looking for a good beef restaurant in Ingye-dong, why not give this place a try?
