Gangnam hair salon Shiseido 9-step hair clinic after a perm: Park Jun

My hair had been especially dry lately and the ends kept tangling, so I went looking for somewhere to really take care of it..... and ended up at Park Jun Beauty Lab Gangnam Branch, which specializes in clinics, is easy to reach, and had good reviews.

I got the Shiseido Clinic treatment there. It was close to Gangnam Station so easy to find, and the staff were so friendly from the moment I walked in that I felt good the whole time I was being cared for. I went in worried about my hair condition, and from the treatment process to the finishing touches, this Gangnam Station hair salon was satisfying.

It's about a 3-minute walk from Sinnonhyeon Station, so accessibility is really good. It's near Mibundang and Gabaedo café, so it's on a street you've probably passed at least once.

The inside of Park Jun Beauty Lab Gangnam Branch is decorated in an all-white, upscale style. A staff member greeted me so warmly the moment I walked in that everything felt perfect from the start.

After leaving my bags in a locker, they'd already set out a cup of tea to drink at the consultation seat — I thought that was really fast. It had been a while since I'd been to such a considerate salon, so I was touched all over again.

What I especially liked about the consultation was that it was done on a paper checklist, so I could think it through and write down what I honestly wanted. It had simple check boxes instead of lots of conversation, which was perfect for an introvert like me.

A lot of salons keep their pricing vague, but here even the extra charges were listed transparently, which I liked. This is the English-language menu — it seems like they get plenty of foreign visitors, since they've prepared for it.

Why the Shiseido Clinic instead of the Ribbon Clinic?

Park Jun Beauty Lab Gangnam Branch offers both the Ribbon Clinic and the Shiseido Clinic. Since I'd recently gotten a perm, they recommended the Shiseido Clinic. Apparently the Ribbon Clinic straightens hair out flat at the end, so if you've had a perm, Shiseido is the right call.

It's called the reforming program, and involves a total of 9 steps. With that many steps, how could your hair not turn out good..

The shampoo room and the 9-step treatment, step by step

First I was taken to get shampooed, and the shampoo room itself is decorated in an upscale, nature-inspired style. It doesn't feel like you're in the middle of Gangnam at all — more like a resort. What I especially liked about the shampooing was that they used disposable towels, which felt more hygienic and trustworthy.

The interior is laid out like this. It's modern and clean, with no unnecessary clutter.

Above all, I think their skill really showed, because everything moved along quickly. I was able to relax comfortably throughout without any discomfort. The whole treatment took about 1 hour and 30 minutes.

How the hair changed after the Shiseido Clinic

And here's the result of the clinic! Since it was purely a clinic treatment, there's no big change in design. Still, I could clearly feel that my hair felt coated, and combing through it was noticeably easier.

The photo taken right after doesn't look like there's much difference, but this next one was taken at a café afterward. My hair looked shiny and sparkly, and overall much more sleek and put-together ✨

Last but not least, there's a photo booth machine (life four-cut) set up in a corner of the salon! It always feels like a shame to go home right after getting your hair done nicely, so being able to snap a photo right after your treatment felt like a thoughtful touch. It seems like a great spot to grab a commemorative shot especially on days when you've changed up your style with a dye job or perm 📸

I visited because of dry, tangled hair, and after getting the Shiseido Clinic treatment, my hair felt much softer and more settled — very satisfying overall at Park Jun Beauty Lab Gangnam Branch! The staff paid close attention throughout and were genuinely kind, so I could relax through the whole treatment. It's also easy to access from Gangnam Station, making it convenient to stop by after work or around meeting up with friends, and being able to capture the change with the in-store photo booth afterward was a nice bonus.
