Pre-grilled Korean BBQ set for a group dinner in Baekseok: Baekseok
In short
Baekseok Kkogijip is a Korean BBQ restaurant in the Baekseok-dong restaurant alley of Goyang, Gyeonggi, near Exit 6 of Baekseok Station. The 2-person set came with 500g of marinated pork, a taste of yukhoe (raw beef tartare), and doenjang sulbap (soybean paste rice), all grilled in the kitchen and brought out ready to eat about 15 minutes after ordering, so there was no risk of burning anything. Today I'm bringing you a review of Baekseok Kkogijip, known as one of the go-to BBQ spots in Baekseok.

I just went for a casual meat dinner that day, but partway through eating, a thought hit me.
This kind of BBQ place would actually be great for first meetings or occasions where you need to have a serious conversation.
When you grill it yourself, the conversation keeps getting interrupted, and you end up burning things because you're too distracted haha. But here, everything comes out already grilled, so none of that stress exists.

A BBQ spot where you don't have to grill your own meat

Baekseok Kkogijip is known among Baekseok BBQ restaurants for being one where you don't have to grill your own meat.
When you order, the kitchen grills it to just the right doneness and brings it straight to your table, which meant I could actually focus on talking with the people I was with.

There are so many BBQ restaurants in the Baekseok-dong restaurant alley, but very few operate this way, which made it stick in my memory.
Atmosphere and seating
Walking in, it had a casual BBQ restaurant vibe, so the atmosphere felt easygoing.

The tables were spaced generously, so I could eat comfortably without worrying about the next table over. Since you're not grilling meat inside the restaurant yourself, there's no smoke or smell to worry about either, which was a plus haha. With a setup like this, it seemed like a solid option for group dinners or gatherings among Baekseok BBQ restaurants.
What's included in the 2-person set?

What we ordered that day was the 2-person set menu. It comes with 500g of marinated pork, a taste of yukhoe (raw beef tartare), and your choice of kimchi stew or doenjang sulbap (soybean paste rice).

Since yukhoe is included by default in the set, it was perfect as a drinking snack without ordering anything extra. If you go with the raw meat platter instead, you can also enjoy samgyeopsal (pork belly) and pork neck,

so if you're looking for samgyeopsal at a Baekseok BBQ restaurant, this option is worth considering too.
A table setting that was generous from the side dishes on

The side dishes that came out first were already quite generous.

Steamed egg, corn cheese, yukhoe, along with lettuce wraps and wild garlic greens — it felt like they gave us a bit of everything.
The steamed egg was warm and fluffy, so my chopsticks kept reaching for it even before the meat arrived,
and the corn cheese had that long cheese-pull look, so it was great for photos too lol.

Marinated pork in 15 minutes, no risk of burning
The main dish, marinated pork, came out about 15 minutes after ordering,
and it arrived grilled to just the right doneness, so I had absolutely no worries about burning it the way you would grilling it yourself.

The marinade had soaked all the way through, so it was savory with a subtle sweetness, and the outside had a slight char, keeping that smoky grilled flavor too.

The onions and mushrooms that came alongside were grilled too, so they were great to eat with the meat.

Finishing off with doenjang sulbap
Between kimchi stew and doenjang sulbap, we went with the doenjang sulbap,
and the meat broth had soaked into the rice, making it a hearty way to finish the meal.

If the side dishes felt a bit short, it was convenient that you could grab more from the self-serve bar.
Who is this place good for?
Thanks to the pre-grilled serving style, Baekseok Kkogijip
is a great fit for occasions where grilling it yourself feels like a hassle, or where you want to focus on the conversation.
That said, if you love the fun of sizzling meat on the grill in front of you, it might feel like something's missing.
Still, it's a solid choice for a meal with someone you're meeting for the first time, for important conversations, or even for a work dinner near Baekseok Station.
If you've been looking for a BBQ restaurant in Baekseok, Baekseok Kkogijip is worth a visit.
