Namyangju Korean BBQ lunch for two with yukhoe bibimbap: Galbi Yechan
In short
Galbi Yechan Namyangju Jinjeop Branch is a charcoal-grilled marinated pork rib restaurant in Jinjeop-eup, Namyangju, Gyeonggi, a 13-minute walk from Onam Station. A couple ordered 2 servings of jumbo marinated pork galbi, received 1 free serving on top for 3 servings in total, and finished the meal with yukhoe bibimbap (rice with beef tartare). Because Galbi Yechan adds free meat according to how many people order, the deal gets better the larger the group.

Where is Galbi Yechan Namyangju Jinjeop Branch?
Galbi Yechan Namyangju Jinjeop Branch is a charcoal-grilled pork rib galbi restaurant on Haemilyedang 1-ro in Jinjeop-eup, Namyangju, a 13-minute walk from Onam Station. It's open 11:00–21:30, last order 20:30, every day. Parking is available in front.
I came to Namyangju on a business trip with my husband and we decided to have lunch at Galbi Yechan Namyangju Jinjeop Branch, a Namyangju Jinjeop restaurant.

It's near Onam Station, so it was easy to find, and more importantly, it's the kind of place where ordering meat by headcount gets you extra free meat, which seemed great for family dinners or group gatherings too.

Private rooms at Galbi Yechan for 6 to 44 guests
The restaurant also has private rooms of various sizes, from 6 up to 44 people, which is convenient for group meals. So beyond regular table dining, it seems good for family events like birthdays or company dinners too.

How the free extra serving works when you order 2
What stood out most at Galbi Yechan Namyangju Jinjeop Branch was the free extra meat. Order 1 serving per person and you get extra meat added: 2 people ordering 2 servings get +1 free, 3 people ordering 3 servings get +1 free, and 4 people ordering 4 servings get +2 free.
Even for the two of us, ordering 2 servings of jumbo pork rib galbi got us 1 extra serving, so we ended up eating 3 servings total. The more people, the more free meat you get, so it's an even better deal for family gatherings or group dinners with more people.
The free serving also applies when mixing marinated and raw meat orders, and apparently the benefit continues to apply on additional orders beyond the headcount baseline. It definitely felt like better value the more people you bring.

Ordering 2 servings of jumbo marinated pork galbi and yukhoe bibimbap
We ordered 2 servings of jumbo pork rib galbi and 1 serving of beef tartare bibimbap. With the free extra serving added to our 2-serving order, the portion was already quite generous for two people from the start.

After ordering, they lit the charcoal and brought out a ton of banchan (side dishes).

Then the 2+1 servings of jumbo pork rib galbi came out.

What banchan (side dishes) come with the galbi
Yuja (citron) lotus root, garlic scape pickles, seasoned crab, black sesame salad, dressed lettuce salad — the side dishes were really generous. They tasted great too, so I kept reaching for them even before the meat arrived.

How the charcoal-grilled jumbo marinated pork galbi tastes
The charcoal finally got hot enough, so we started grilling the meat.

The jumbo pork rib galbi had the marinade well soaked into the meat, so it looked so appetizing as it browned nicely on the grill.

With galbi, the sweet marinade smell rising off the grill really stimulates your appetite.

I took a first bite, and the marinade wasn't too sweet or too salty — just right, and delicious.

It's delicious plain, but topping it with the barley doenjang (soybean paste) that comes with the banchan gives you a whole different flavor experience.

Marinated galbi can get a little tiring if you eat it continuously, but eating it with wraps or side dishes let us switch up the flavor combinations, which was nice.

We only planned on 2 servings for the two of us, but with the free extra serving of marinated galbi added, we got to enjoy the meat pretty leisurely.

Adding something spicy or clean-tasting to the sweet flavor characteristic of marinated galbi refreshed the palate, making it less of a burden to keep eating. Overall the spread paired well with the meat, so galbi lovers would generally be satisfied with this meal.

Is the yukhoe bibimbap worth adding to the meal?
We ordered beef tartare bibimbap because just the galbi felt like it wasn't quite enough! Mixing fresh vegetables and beef tartare with rice gave us a totally different flavor to end the meal from the marinated galbi. If you want meat and rice together, beef tartare bibimbap works well as a side dish.

Why Galbi Yechan suits a group better than a party of two
This time my husband and I went as a couple, but personally I think the advantages would feel even bigger with a larger group. Since the free meat scales with headcount and increases the more people order, it seems great to use for family outings, gatherings with friends, or company dinners with larger groups.
For family gatherings especially, where everyone from grandparents to kids eats together, having well-arranged rooms is a plus. So if you're looking for a Namyangju Jinjeop restaurant or Namyangju Onam restaurant and also scouting a spot for a family outing or group dinner, this is worth considering.
