I visited Galbi Yechan, a Namyangju Jinjeop restaurant famous for pork ribs near Onam Station, and overall had such a satisfying meal that I wanted to give you the full rundown!

How to find Galbi Yechan Namyangju Jinjeop Branch and where to park
📍Location: 8-12 Haemilyedang 1-ro, Jinjeop-eup, Namyangju-si, Gyeonggi-do, South Korea, 1st floor
⏰Hours: 11:00–21:30 (daily)
🚘Parking: Available⭕️
The parking lot at Galbi Yechan, a Namyangju Jinjeop favorite, is right in front of the restaurant, so parking is super convenient!

Inside Galbi Yechan: dining hall, private rooms and waiting area

The restaurant was clean and comfortable! It's spacious enough to work well for family meals out, as well as gatherings with friends or company dinners.
For larger groups, a private room is usually more comfortable than a regular table, and they have rooms available here too, so it seemed like a great spot for get-togethers haha

The spacing between tables was just right too, so there was no feeling of being cramped during the meal, and the staff were friendly, making for a pleasant dining experience! There was also a separate waiting area near the entrance. Since this place can have a wait during mealtimes, having that waiting space seemed really convenient.
Galbi Yechan menu prices and the free extra meat

The menu at Galbi Yechan, a Namyangju Jinjeop favorite, had a wide variety of meat dishes including galbi (ribs)! From familiar options like pork ribs to full meal dishes, it looked like a great place for a group to each pick something to their own taste.

By the way, if you order meat according to your headcount here, they give you a free extra serving of meat, so it's great value haha
What comes with the Wang Pork Jjigae weekday lunch set

Since we visited on a weekday for lunch, we tried the lunch special orderable before 3pm, the Wang Pork Jjigae Set. It comes with seasoned pork ribs, rice, doenjang stew (soybean paste stew), and side dishes, so you don't need to order anything extra separately!
Once we ordered, the seasoned pork ribs came out along with a bunch of side dishes, all served at once!

Even though we only ordered one menu item, the table felt pretty packed haha

The kimchi, cabbage, and every other side dish were tasty!

The special barley doenjang sauce came out too, and eating the meat with rice, then dipping it in the sauce every so often, gave it a whole different flavor

How the seasoned pork ribs tasted
Galbi Yechan's seasoned pork ribs had a clean taste with no gamey smell at all! The sauce isn't the type that's overwhelmingly sweet
The meat was well coated in a delicious seasoning, which made it great to eat with rice

The seasoned pork ribs weren't chewy at all — they were pleasantly tender haha
Eating it alongside the side dishes rather than just the meat alone changed the flavor little by little, which I liked!

Switching back and forth between rice and side dishes meant I never got tired of it

Dipping it in the barley doenjang also tasted a bit different from eating the meat plain!

Since the meat is already seasoned, dipping it lightly rather than heavily worked better, letting the meat's own seasoning shine through haha

Putting a bit of rice on top of a piece of meat combined the sweet seasoning with the plain flavor of the rice so well that my hand kept naturally reaching for more!

Pork ribs with barley doenjang and doenjang stew
And the combination of meat and doenjang stew was great too! When you're eating a meat dish, you start craving something with broth midway through, and it was nice that the doenjang stew came along with it
The stew's hearty, savory doenjang flavor was the star, and it helped cut through the richness when eaten with the meat haha

Putting a bit of doenjang stew on rice and pairing it with a piece of seasoned pork also worked really well together!
