Bueokgan Chinese Marine City Branch is an ocean-view Chinese restaurant on Marine City 3-ro in Haeundae-gu, Busan. It's open daily 11:00–22:00, with a break time from 15:30–17:00, and last order at 20:30. Parking is available at Adelis with 1.5 hours free.

I was craving Chinese food, so this time I went to Bueokgan Chinese Marine City Branch. The vibe was completely different from what I usually picture in a Chinese restaurant — I visited on a weekday at 6pm and sat by the window. And here... even before the food came out, I was already sold on the view lol. If you're looking for a Marine City restaurant where the atmosphere matters just as much as the food, let me introduce this one 🩵

What the ocean view from the window seats looks like

The moment I walked in, I thought "wait, is this really a Chinese restaurant?" 🫪 It's not the usual Chinese-restaurant feel at all — the whole place is decorated in a sleek, upscale way. And best of all, through the window you get a full view of the Marine City sea — wow, just looking at it is already healing 🔥 Plus there's a really nice walking path nearby afterward, great for a stroll!

Private rooms at Bueokgan Chinese: good for group dinners

Bueokgan Chinese Marine City Branch turned out to be bigger than I expected. It's not just hall seating — there are private rooms available too.

So it seemed like it would work well for family meals, slightly more formal occasions, or gatherings with a group. It's rare to find a Chinese restaurant with this level of ocean view on top of that.

💡 For parking, you can use The Sharp Adelis commercial parking lot, and they say about 1.5 hours of parking is supported when you eat there.

There's a huge variety of proper Chinese cooking too. And the prices for the meal dishes weren't as burdensome as I expected.

On weekdays from 11am to 3pm, there's also a weekday lunch set for ₩35,000 with tangsuyuk (sweet and sour pork) plus two meal dishes. I thought a Marine City restaurant would have pricey meals across the board, but jjajangmyeon starting at ₩8,000 was better than I expected haha.

Gochu ganjajang (chili black bean noodles), 10,000 won

You know how some people don't really like jjajang because of that typical sweet, greasy taste? Even those people would probably like this. In particular, you keep biting into cheongyang chili peppers throughout, and the spicy kick hits hard — honestly, that day I found the gochu ganjajang spicier than the jjamppong lol.

I usually reach for jjamppong before jjajangmyeon, but that day my chopsticks kept going back to the jjajangmyeon. 👉 A dish worth trying even for people who say jjajang is too greasy for them. I feel like I'll order this again next time haha.

Woo-samgyeop beef jjamppong (spicy noodle soup), 12,000 won

As a jjamppong person, there was no way I wasn't ordering this lol. The woo-samgyeop (thinly sliced beef brisket) beef jjamppong has a savory richness from the thin beef slices that naturally melts into the broth. Rather than the sharp, refreshing broth of seafood jjamppong, it has a heavier, deeper meaty-broth feel!

One bite in and I immediately thought, "ah, this is a meat jjamppong." It'd probably suit people who prefer a rich broth flavor over an intensely spicy one.

Jalapeño cream shrimp, 22,000 won

First off, the shrimp are way bigger than I expected‼️ Not the kind of cream shrimp that's mostly batter around tiny shrimp —

you can properly feel the plump shrimp meat inside 🍤 It's a creamy sauce, but because it has jalapeño in it, it doesn't keep going on sweet and greasy the whole time.
