Raichen Chilgok Branch is a Vietnamese restaurant in Buk-gu, Daegu. I tried the ₩37,500 Set A for two with Hanoi-style pho, bun cha, and banh xeo; the broth was rich and the charcoal-grilled aroma was lovely. Raichen is where I want to return when I’m craving bun cha and pho.
Hyangtaek Seongseo Keimyung University Branch is a Korean restaurant near Keimyung University Dongsan Hospital in Dalseo, Daegu. Even at opening time, the restaurant was full, and I enjoyed Spanish mackerel gondre rice, yukhoe bibimbap, and grilled galbi in a neatly set meal. Verdict: A lovely choice for a Korean set meal that is not overly seasoned.

My wife and I ordered the medium chamgajami sashimi and were very full; the vegetable mix with chojang and soybean powder was especially good. The complimentary mulhoe and the spicy fish stew we ordered at the end also stood out.
