Jojo Triple Street Branch is a Japanese teppanyaki restaurant in Yeonsu, Incheon. For a late lunch, we had the ₩36,000 Rice Set for Two with okonomiyaki, yaki fried rice, and mentaiko gyoza, kept warm on the table grill. A great shopping-date stop for teppanyaki and a light beer.
Camel Orzo is an Italian restaurant in Seo-gu, Gwangju, serving pizza, pasta, and steak. At a family gathering, we ordered fig ricotta salad, red shrimp bisque pasta, and Camel Margherita pizza for 19,200, 22,000, and 19,500 won. Verdict: the Margherita’s aged dough and fresh ingredients made it an especially satisfying choice.
Halls Gimbap Main Branch is a gimbap restaurant near Gyodae Station in Seocho, Seoul. After work, I had double-cheese egg, Spam, and wasabi gimbap with a dakgangjeong set. My verdict: the double-cheese egg gimbap was the clear winner.

Burgiz Daeheung is a handmade burger restaurant in Daeheung-dong, Jung-gu, Daejeon, near Sungsimdang’s main store. My friends and I had Hangover, Mushroom, Chicago burgers, chili fries, and sweet potato fries with ice cream. Verdict: the Hangover burger and chili fries were the standouts.
Dongbaek Hanokjip is a charcoal-grill butcher restaurant in Dongbaek, Yongin, Gyeonggi. We chose Korean pork neck and belly from the butcher counter, then had fresh Korean beef brisket with fragrant Suhyangmi rice and wasabi. Verdict: an absolutely perfect course, from easy parking to seriously good rice.
Madang Itneun Jip is a Korean restaurant serving ginseng set meals in Geumsan, Chungnam. I reserved a visit with my parents and enjoyed ginseng tteokgalbi, marinated seafood, braised eel, and ginseng rice. Verdict: reserve ahead for a family meal that feels truly special.

We quickly finished four portions of sweet-savory pork ribs between two people, then added spicy doenjang-jjigae. Verdict: a great pick for family meals or gatherings with easy parking.
