About

Bongpo Hoega is a family-run raw fish restaurant that operated for nearly 10 years as 'Eunsugine Hoetjip' in the Bongpo Port Live Fish Center, and changed its name when it moved due to the center's redevelopment. Bongpo Hoega bids directly at the fish market auction every morning, and sets its tables with the day's catch, including flatfish and rockfish as well as filefish, flounder (dodari), yellowtail, eelpout (jangchi), puffer fish (milbok and kkachibok), isigari, red sea bream, black sea bream, yellowtail amberjack and squid.

At Bongpo Hoega, guests can say whether they want a generous portion or a focus on premium species and the platter is arranged accordingly, and the side dishes are also made with locally caught seafood. Bongpo Hoega's mulhoe is served with house-made broth, live fish and vegetables, and because many guests look for them alongside sashimi, Bongpo Hoega also offers snow crab and red snow crab.
