Hongdae café for fig soufflé and matcha latte: Think Fruit

It’s fig season these days, so I’d been wanting to try a fig dessert—and then I found a soufflé topped with whole figs?! Today, I’m at Think Fruit (띵크프룻), a Hongdae dessert café where you can enjoy soufflés made with seasonal fruit!

It’s tucked into a side street just off Hongdae’s main road, so I recommend turning on your map if it’s your first visit, haha. The white, modern exterior has exactly that trendy café feel. Modern + good vibes, literally... ✨

And there was a banner at the entrance! It was covered in photos of seasonal fruit soufflés, from peach to fig, so I could already tell this place was serious about dessert before even stepping inside. My heart was racing..~~

Plus, it’s an authorized Häagen-Dazs retailer! I was sooo excited.

With floor-to-ceiling windows and white décor, the whole space felt bright and neat. I visited around 2 p.m., and warm sunlight poured through the windows, which made the atmosphere so lovely! There were all kinds of visitors, from couples on dates to groups of friends, haha.

As you’d expect from a soufflé specialist, Think Fruit’s signature item is soufflé! At the time of my visit, the signature peach soufflé was ₩22,000, the strawberry soufflé was ₩21,000, and the peach and strawberry parfaits were ₩19,800 each. There were also separate menu photos beside the ordering counter. Everything looked genuinely delicious, so I spent ages deciding.. hehe.

The four items we ordered

With my heart fluttering, I quickly placed our order. We got four things in total that day!

• Café latte ₩6,000
• Matcha latte ₩8,000
• Fig soufflé ₩20,000

First, the matcha latte! My friend ordered this one and said the matcha flavor was quite rich, with a pleasant nutty note too. Especially when eaten with the ice cream on top, the combination of intense matcha + sweet ice cream was perfect, apparently. I think matcha lovers would be happy with it~!

Next was the iced Americano I ordered! It was generally solid, though the acidity came through a little strongly. Personally, I love an iced Americano with sweet desserts, so it was, as always, a great pairing with the soufflé haha.

The café latte was solid too! The coffee flavor wasn’t overly strong, so my friend said it was easy and comfortable to drink.

And finally, today’s main event!! When it arrived, the presentation was seriously overwhelming. The fluffy soufflé was piled high with figs, and maybe because they were in season, the figs were truly delicious!!ㅠㅠ I finally understood why there had been boxes of fruit by the entrance...!!

The soufflé itself was also incredibly soft and fluffy.

Oh, and just so you know, the soufflé took about 20 minutes to make after ordering. But because the drinks come out first, it felt quicker than expected while we drank and chatted!

Overall, Think Fruit was a great dessert café to visit when you want a proper soufflé in Hongdae! Bright floor-to-ceiling windows + a clean white interior, plus a fluffy soufflé generously topped with seasonal fruit.
