I packed a satisfying selection: gamtae (Korean seaweed) financier, vanilla financier, fig financier, almond financier, Earl Grey canelé, and chestnut madeleine.

The gamtae financier I was most curious about turned out to be famous enough to have appeared on the variety show Hangout with Yoo. Savory, fragrant gamtae sits over a nutty, sweet base, and the appealing sweet-and-salty combination spread across my palate from the first bite.

Above all, its deep Earl Grey tea fragrance was natural rather than artificial and filled my mouth, making it the perfect match for milk tea or a hot Americano. The round, cute chestnut madeleine was also a dessert that suited this autumn season perfectly. One bite brought together the rich, sweet flavor of chestnut and the soft madeleine crumb so well! Haha. It is definitely on the sweeter side, so I especially recommend it to anyone who loves relieving stress with a sweet dessert.
