Pre-grilled pork galbi with a toddler at a Daegu Korean BBQ restaurant: Baeksanu Sutbul

A Wolseong-dong galbi restaurant with a playroom, visited with our little one

We went to Baeksanu Sutbul Wolsong Main Branch (백산우숯불 월성본점), a Wolseong-dong galbi spot with a kids' playroom, with our daughter!

So we visited Baeksanu Sutbul, a meat restaurant in Wolseong-dong :) It used to be a chicken place, but it's now been turned into a pork galbi restaurant!! The place is huge, so I'd recommend it for dinners out, get-togethers and work dinners in Wolseong-dong!!

The menu is varied too — yangnyeom galbi (marinated ribs), bakpo galbi (butterflied ribs), makchang (grilled beef intestines) and more!!

You can check the menu board from outside the restaurant too!!

Our little princess just turned two haha. These days whenever we go to a BBQ place she's busy hunting for the playroom >_<🫶 Baeksanu Sutbul in Wolseong-dong has a nice big playroom, which was great!!

A spacious dining room and facilities for kids

Maybe because it only opened recently, the playroom is brand new too!! haha. We're supposed to be eating meat, but she kept asking to go to the playroom lol. Her half-cast just came off and she's hopping around lol. Look at that excited little back >_< Grow up slowly, please~~👶

They have after-meal slushies too!! Seriously, if you have kids, I really recommend this place!

What we ordered, plus the side dishes

There's a receipt review event going on too, so give it a go! What I ordered: Jinjja Pork Galbi 1kg for ₩44,000, hanwoo (Korean beef) doenjang jjigae (soybean paste stew) for ₩3,000, and daejeopbap (a big bowl of rice) for ₩3,000.

Of course there are high chairs too!!

Spoons, chopsticks and cups are in the drawer under the table, FYI!!

Clean, simple sides — kimchi, gim (roasted seaweed), jaeraegi (seasoned green onion salad) and so on!! If you run out, you just use the self-serve bar!

Trying the pre-grilled Jinjja Pork Galbi

Baeksanu Sutbul in Wolseong-dong has such a great concept!! I ordered 1kg of Jinjja Pork Galbi pre-grilled!! Note that a pre-grilled order takes about 15 minutes!

Fire's on~

Here's the pre-grilled Jinjja Pork Galbi, 1kg!! Marinated galbi burns easily so you're usually busy flipping it, but ordering it pre-grilled means no worries — you just eat!! Loved that!! Just give it a light extra sear and dig in.

Tender, sweet-and-salty perfection — Baeksanu's Jinjja Pork Galbi!! When I was little, eating out always meant a marinated galbi place with a playroom haha, and now that we have our own baby it's exactly the same?! Classics are classics for a reason.💓

I added the daejeopbap and hanwoo doenjang jjigae to make it even more filling!! Skip the regular bowl of rice and order the daejeopbap!! It comes with a fried egg and gochujang (red chili paste) so you can mix it all up properly.

A few spoonfuls of the doenjang jjigae mixed in is a must!! hahaha. The hanwoo doenjang jjigae had a nice spicy kick and was delicious too!!

A clean self-serve bar with plenty of ssam (lettuce wrap) greens!!
