Starting off this review of Gatjidong Noeun Branch, a pork cutlet spot near Daejeon World Cup Stadium! I remembered enjoying the pork cutlet on my first visit, so I came back haha. It's a Banseok-dong restaurant with no break time, so I'd recommend it whenever you're stuck looking for somewhere to eat at an odd hour ✨

Where is Gatjidong Noeun Branch, and what are its hours?
Gatjidong Noeun Branch is located at 53 Eungubinam-ro 7beon-gil, 1st floor, Unit 102, Yuseong-gu, Daejeon, South Korea, open 11:00 - 21:00 with last order at 20:30. It stays open continuously except on major holidays.

The bright yellow sign made it easy to spot! There's also parking space out front, so it was convenient to visit by car. A great location whether you're looking for a meal near Daejeon World Cup Stadium or hunting for a pork cutlet restaurant around Noeun-dong or Banseok-dong :)

The interior is spacious and clean. The tables aren't crowded together, so it's comfortable for a meal with a friend, and it seemed good for solo dining too.
What the self-bar offers: soup, broth, kimchi and pickled radish
At the Gatjidong Noeun Branch self-bar, you can help yourself to soup, broth, kimchi, and pickled radish as needed. One of my favorite things about Gatjidong is this — being able to freely enjoy soup at the self-bar.

Scooping a warm bowl of soup before the pork cutlet arrives and sprinkling on some pepper makes for a proper appetizer ✨ It's soft and warm, perfect for the wait. Beyond soup, there's also broth, kimchi, and pickled radish ready to grab as much as you need.
What we ordered: signature half-and-half pork cutlet and gyudon
On this visit to Gatjidong Noeun Branch, we ordered the signature half-and-half pork cutlet set (2 pieces, ₩12,800) and gyudon, a beef rice bowl (₩9,800). If you want both regular pork cutlet and can't give up cheese pork cutlet, I personally recommend the signature half-and-half set! ✨

The moment the food arrived, I knew I'd ordered right! Getting to try both regular pork cutlet and cheese pork cutlet meant I didn't have to choose between the two — that was the best part haha.

The pork cutlet comes generously topped with sauce, served alongside rice and cabbage salad, making it a filling meal. The breading on the outside was crispy while the meat inside stayed moist with good thickness, pairing nicely with the sauce.

How much cheese is inside the cheese pork cutlet?
And what I want to recommend most is the cheese pork cutlet! Splitting it in half revealed the inside really packed with cheese 🤍 The cheese filling between the meat was soft and nutty, and combined with the crispy breading, it was a really great pairing.

The cheese showed up perfectly in photos too, so it passed the visual test right away... haha. If you're looking for a pork cutlet restaurant in Noeun, definitely try the signature half-and-half pork cutlet!

How does the gyudon (beef rice bowl) taste?
The dish we ordered alongside the pork cutlet was gyudon, a beef rice bowl. It arrives in a large bowl generously filled with rice and beef, with plenty of green onion piled on one side ✨🫶🏻

The beef, cooked with onion, wasn't too heavily seasoned but had a nice salty-sweet balance that went perfectly with the rice! The beef's nutty flavor and seasoning naturally soaked into the rice, so I kept going back for more haha.

Mixing in the green onion added a fragrant touch, giving it a charm quite different from the pork cutlet. I'd recommend ordering one gyudon to share as well 🫶🏻

Why Gatjidong Noeun Branch works for a meal at an odd hour
From the crispy pork cutlet to the cheese-stuffed cutlet to the filling gyudon, there's a wide range of menu options, and being able to enjoy warm soup at the self-bar was a bonus! With no break time, it's also great to visit during those in-between hours.

If you're looking for a place to eat near Daejeon World Cup Stadium, or craving pork cutlet around Noeun-dong or Banseok-dong, I'd recommend Gatjidong Noeun Branch ♥ I think I'll come back again whenever I'm craving that cheese pork cutlet haha 🧀✨
