I was craving really good pizza after a while, so I went to Pug Pizza House Sillim Branch haha

Pug Pizza House allows dogs, so it's a great place to visit with your pet too. 🐶🤍

The store spans three floors total, so it's a fairly large space. With separate floors, it felt relaxed for a meal, and it seemed like a good spot for friends, family, or dining out with your dog. Being able to enjoy pizza and pasta while spending time with your pet feels like Pug Pizza House's own charm. 🐾

What we ordered: the half-and-half pizza and pasta set

What I ordered was the half-and-half pizza & pasta set! I chose the half-and-half pizza with the store-exclusive fig jambon beurre arugula and basil mascarpone shrimp, and changed the edge to the milk cheese edge. On top of that, I also ordered the mushroom spicy cream pasta. 🍕🍝

What sauces are at the self-service bar?

The self-bar had a variety of sauces ready to pair with the food, so you could pick based on your taste. 🌽🌶️🧄

They had corn butter, chipotle, garlic dip, and ranch, so I loved being able to switch things up with different sauces even on the same dish!! Each sauce had a distinctly different flavor, and they all worked well with the pizza and side dishes haha

How do fig jambon beurre arugula and basil mascarpone shrimp taste?

The fig jambon beurre arugula had sweet fig, salty jambon beurre, and fragrant arugula all together, which made for a combination quite different from typical pizza and I was excited going in. The subtle sweetness of the fig blended well with the salty jambon, and the arugula came through here and there for a clean finish. The layers of flavor were so varied and delicious, I highly recommend it 👍👍

The other half I chose was basil mascarpone shrimp. 🍤🌿 The plump shrimp combined with the soft, savory flavor of basil and mascarpone was really delicious. The basil's distinct fragrance added richness, and the shrimp gave it a nice bite too. After eating the fig one, the basil side felt a bit bland by comparison haha

Mushroom spicy cream pasta eaten with the pizza

For pasta I ordered the mushroom spicy cream pasta. 🍄🍝 The spicy kick added to the smooth cream sauce meant I could eat what could've been a heavy cream pasta without feeling weighed down, and the mushrooms added great flavor too! Alternating between the pasta and pizza, the spicy pasta balanced out the richness of the pizza, and the combination was quite satisfying haha

Which sauce goes best with which slice?

The sauce combinations worked really well with my half-and-half pizza and pasta set. The pizza is tasty plain, but the chipotle sauce added a slight kick and savoriness that cut through the richness, while the ranch was creamy and mild, a perfect match for the pizza. 🥹 The garlic dip added a strong garlic flavor that deepened the taste when paired with the pizza, and the corn butter sauce, sweet and savory, went best with the pizza crust!

Is the milk cheese edge worth the change?

And the milk cheese edge, an essential part of the pizza! 🧀 You could taste the savory cheese all the way to the crust, so I got to enjoy every last bit of the pizza until the very edge. Being able to customize the edge as well as the toppings was another nice touch. Don't forget the corn butter sauce!!!
