Found a café hiding right behind Dowon Elementary and Dowon Middle School!

It's a brunch café that serves brunch, breads, coffee, and even wine. From the exterior to the interior, everything had a European-style design, making it a great spot for a quiet moment of healing. If you're a parent with a kid at Dowon Elementary, Middle, or High School, it looks like a nice place to stop by after a school visit.

There's no separate parking lot! You have to use the Dowon-dong public parking lot or park in an alley. I saw online that parking was free and drove there, so I was a bit thrown off, ugh. But luckily there was space to park in the alley — lucky day!

The exterior alone gives off such strong European vibes that it really stands out. You can tell right away, even just passing by, 'oh, that's the place!' — the combo of wood and interior design was pretty.

I love this kind of wood and brick vibe.

Menu and how to order

You can check the menu at the counter, but the counter only shows drinks, so I checked the brunch menu on the kiosk before ordering.

You can check the menu, order, and pay all through the kiosk! On the day I went, the cherry bingsu (shaved ice) was sold out, so I couldn't try it — bummer...

There's also a lot of bread if you'd like to try some! You just order at the counter to buy bread. If you plan to eat in, you put it on a plate — and there are different plate sizes too!

I visited with one other person, so we ordered two drinks and one brunch dish.

The prices were reasonable overall. One nice thing about this café is that when you order an ade, you can choose between sparkling water or Sprite.

Interior atmosphere and seating

The interior had a cozy vibe with wood furniture and brick decor. It was quiet, making it a good spot to relax.

There are 2-person and 4-person tables, and the spacing between tables is pretty wide, so it doesn't feel cramped.

We sat by the window because we liked the greenery visible outside.

The restroom is located inside! It's not a shared restroom for men and women, so it was pleasant to use.

They also sell wine here, and if you order some, you can decorate your own wine glass like this! Nice little activity to have if you visit in the evening.

What's at the self-bar

You can use the self-bar for anything you need. Tissues, water, cups, side plates, forks — most of what you need is here! There's also sauce you can use with your brunch. I thought the mustard next to the hot sauce was edible too, but it turns out the mustard was just for decoration, haha. The hot sauce is edible though, so grab some if you need it.

The brunch menu takes a bit of time — about 15 to 20 minutes. They'll call you at the counter when it's ready, so just head over when it's your turn.

The visual is top notch. They even have their own café-branded glasses, which make it even cuter.

The egg basil French toast wasn't strongly seasoned. They lay a bed of vegetables underneath like a salad, so you get to eat something fresh alongside it! The ade tasted like a familiar flavor — it was quite sweet, so I'd recommend choosing sparkling water over Sprite.
