Magok Station pork cutlet with no break time: Tteudon Magok Branch

It was the weekend, so I went shopping at Magok One Grove for the first time in a while - ̗̀ ෆ‎‎‎(｡•⩊•ಣ

I'd had brunch and gone out shopping, but I got hungry out of nowhere! So I looked for a good spot with no break time and found a pork cutlet restaurant near Magok Station. Here's my review of Tteudon Magok Branch ꒰♡˃̶̤́ ꒳ ˂̶̤̀ ꒱

How to walk to Tteudon Magok Branch from Magok Station

Tteudon Magok Branch is close to Magok Station Exit 4 and Exit 5, and also near Magok One Grove and Seoul Botanic Park, so it's great to stop by for a meal in between ʕ ᐢ ᵕ ᐢ ʔ

Located on the 2nd floor of Munyoung Queens Park 12, Tteudon Magok Branch has no break time on weekdays or weekends, which was so nice for eating at an in-between hour ๑ˊૢᵕˋૢ๑

Inside the restaurant and seating for families with kids

Tteudon Magok Branch was clean and spacious!

The seats were comfortable, good for family or friend groups, and it looked like they take group reservations too *ପ꒰⑅•ᴗ•｡꒱໊੭

They also had kids' chairs and a small kids' room, so it looked like a good place for kids to spend some time 😎

What's on the free self-bar?

On the self-bar I first spotted morning bread, soup, and tteokbokki (spicy rice cakes)! All free, isn't the owner an angel 🧚🏻♀️ You could use the bread to make your own pork burger! (See the kiosk photo below 💌) There was also udon broth, and the banchan (side dishes) were solid too — pickled radish, pickles, and kkakdugi (radish kimchi) ෆ꒰ྀི⑅ › ༚ ‹꒱ྀི˖ 𓐍

What we ordered: sweet potato cheese cutlet and whole grain salad pork cutlet

Tteudon Magok Branch has a genuinely wide menu beyond regular pork cutlet — hot cheese buldak cutlet, hot pot cutlet, chicken cutlet, curry cutlet, cream spaghetti, and kongguksu (cold soybean noodle soup) ʚ₍ᐢ˶ᵔ ᵕ ᵔ˶ꕤᐢ₎ɞ We ordered two menu items: one sweet potato cheese cutlet and one whole grain salad pork cutlet (◍'ᗜ'◍)

We ate the soup and tteokbokki first, and the tteokbokki was really the classic bunsikjip (snack shop) style, perfect as a Korean appetizer haha

And a little later, today's stars arrived! The visuals and the portion size were both amazing 🤍

The sweet potato cheese cutlet came with rice, mini salad, corn salad, and sweet potato mousse & cheese cutlet! The whole grain salad pork cutlet came with a giant cutlet, cutlet sauce, and whole grain salad ₍^ >ヮ<^₎ .ᐟ.ᐟ

Time to zoom in on the good stuff,, 🔍 The sweet potato mousse was piled on generously, exactly my style (๑'ᵕ'๑)⸝*

How does the whole grain salad pork cutlet taste?

The whole grain salad pork cutlet was huge! I dipped it bite by bite to keep it from mixing too much with the salad 💗

I cut into the whole grain salad pork cutlet first! It was crispy outside, juicy inside — a true cutlet — and paired amazingly with the salad ( ੭ ˘ ³˘)੭‎°｡⋆ෆ‧₊˚

How was the sweet potato cheese cutlet?

The sweet potato cheese cutlet I ate was also the best,, 🧀🍠 The cheese cutlet alone is already tasty, but with sweet potato mousse on top it was even better 𐔌՞⁔ෆ ̫ ෆ⁔՞𐦯

The salad went really well with the sauce too, wasn't greasy at all, and I felt like I had a really satisfying meal (*ૂ❛ัᴗ❛ั*ૂ)ʃ)♥

So full, but I still can't skip ice cream! It's free too at Tteudon Magok Branch 🍨

There were 4 flavors total — chocolate, plain, strawberry, and green tea — so it was fun picking one (ღ•͈ᴗ•͈ღ)♥
