Uijeongbu 24-hour Korean BBQ: cauldron-lid pork belly, Geuttae Geujip
In short
Geuttae Geujip (그때그집) is a 24-hour Korean BBQ restaurant near Uijeongbu Station in Gyeonggi, grilling fresh, unfrozen meat every day of the year with no closing time. Two servings of pork belly grilled on a cauldron lid came out crisp outside and juicy inside with no gamey smell, and a ham-packed budae jjigae (army stew) rounded out the meal in a wide hall with generous table spacing that easily fits a group. Geuttae Geujip is the place to remember when you want grilled pork without watching the clock, at dawn or at breakfast.

Is anyone else out there eating meat first thing in the morning besides me? I've always loved meat so much that back in middle and high school, my mom would grill pork neck for breakfast and literally put it in my mouth. So when I heard there was a 24-hour Korean BBQ spot near Uijeongbu Station that was basically made for someone like me, I had to check it out.
Where is Geuttae Geujip, and is it really open 24 hours?
Geuttaegeujip (그때그집) is a 24-hour Korean BBQ restaurant at 25 Beomgol-ro 145beon-gil, Uijeongbu-si, Gyeonggi-do, South Korea, 1st floor. It runs 00:00–24:00 every single day with no closed days, and takes reservations, group bookings, and takeout.

It's really close to Exit 1 of the Uijeongbu LRT station, so accessibility is great! It was easy to find.
Inside Geuttae Geujip: the meat-aging fridge on display

You could see with your own eyes the pork belly, neck belly, jowl meat, and skirt meat being aged, which made me trust the place right away! Geuttaegeujip apparently only serves top-grade raw meat.

Once inside, the space was much bigger than I expected, and the tables were spaced generously, so I could sit comfortably without worrying about the next table over.

It seemed like a good spot for group gatherings or a work dinner near Uijeongbu Station too. The ventilation system was also solid, so I didn't have to worry too much about my clothes smelling like grilled meat afterward!

There's also a restroom inside.

If you order meat, Geuttaegeujip's signature sundubu sujebi (soft tofu hand-torn noodle soup) comes 50% off. It looked really good too — mostly lunchtime customers seemed to order it.
What's on the menu at Geuttae Geujip?

I liked that there was a good variety of both meat dishes and meal dishes. Since it's open 24 hours, quite a few people also came just for a lunch or early evening meal, not meat.
Cauldron-lid pork belly and the side dishes that come with it

Here's the basic spread of side dishes. The jeon (savory pancake) was tasty and the oi-ji (pickled cucumber) was good too, so I ended up snacking on both before the meat was even done grilling, haha.

Wet wipes and cups were set out right beside the table, which was convenient.

Since they only use top-grade raw meat and the aging was done perfectly, the color of the meat looked amazing! I wanted to eat it raw right then and there. T_T
The sound of meat sizzling is always the best..!
Once it turned golden brown, they slowly started cutting it up for us.

Grilling the pork belly on a cauldron lid at Geuttaegeujip made it even more savory. The fat naturally drained off the edges of the lid, so the outside was crispy and the inside stayed juicy — this was the textbook definition of crisp-outside-tender-inside. So good, phew!

With good-quality meat that's also aged, when you actually taste it, it's genuinely clean with no gamey smell, and the natural flavor of the meat really came through — it was delicious even eaten plain, haha.
Meat is great on its own, but you can't skip the wrap! A piece of meat on lettuce with the basic side dishes was so much better. I love lettuce so much!
But meat alone felt a bit incomplete, so we also ordered a meal item. After eating meat at a BBQ place, don't you always crave rice or a stew afterward? Please tell me it's not just me.
Budae jjigae packed with ham

We ordered two servings of pork belly plus Uijeongbu's famous budae jjigae (army stew), and oh... this place could honestly pass as a budae jjigae restaurant on its own. It was loaded with ham even without adding extra ham toppings!
We let it bubble away, turned off the heat, and dug in — genuinely delicious, haha. The spicy broth balanced out the richness of the meat perfectly. Cleared a whole bowl of rice with it!
Who is Geuttae Geujip best for?

The biggest advantage of Geuttaegeujip is definitely that you can visit anytime since it's open 24 hours. Most Korean BBQ places have already closed by the time you want to go late at night, but here you can eat meat late at night or even at dawn, so it'll probably come to mind whenever meat cravings hit for a late-night snack, haha.
On the flip side, it's also perfect for someone like me who eats meat starting in the morning, haha. If you say you want pork belly first thing in the morning, people around you might think you're weird, but a 24-hour BBQ place changes everything. Honestly, a place like this feels like such a relief to me.
The interior is also spacious with generous table spacing, so it seemed great for visiting with a bigger group too. I think it'd work well for casually grabbing meat with friends, or for finding a work dinner spot near Uijeongbu Station.
Especially for people who like drinking late into the night, not having to rush and wrap up because of business hours is another plus. Time flies when you're chatting over meat, and once drinks are added it goes by even faster — so having the flexibility of a 24-hour place was really nice.
