Millak-dong pork cutlet lunch with demi hamburg: Yangchonri Donkaseu
In short
Yangchonri Donkaseu Millak Branch is a Western-style pork cutlet (donkaseu) restaurant in Millak-dong, Uijeongbu, Gyeonggi. On this return visit the order was the solo set — Yangchonri pork cutlet with mini udon for 14,900 won — plus a demi hamburg steak for 13,900 won, starting with the free soup broth and eating at a second-floor window seat with kids' chairs on hand. Even after pork cutlet the night before, every plate at Yangchonri Donkaseu came back clean.

I revisited Yangchonri Donkaseu Millak Branch, a donkaseu (Korean-style pork cutlet) spot in Millak-dong, Uijeongbu.
Where do you park at Yangchonri Donkaseu Millak Branch?
You can use the underground parking lot in the building where the restaurant is located. If you use the shops in the building, parking is free or discounted, so keep that in mind. I took the elevator from the basement level up to the 2nd floor.

Pork cutlet or hamburg steak? What we ordered

Hamburg steak or donkaseu... It was the ultimate dilemma. After a long deliberation, the menu we chose was...
- Solo set (Yangchonri Donkaseu + mini udon) ₩14,900
- Demi hamburg ₩13,900
That's what we ordered.

We went to the self-serve bar and got the broth first. The broth here isn't anything special, but somehow I keep going back for more. The savory flavor is excellent haha.

The country-of-origin labeling was clearly displayed, and the restroom was well signposted too.

If you take part in the review event, they say you get a beer or a drink on the house. Everyone should join in and grab the freebie~

Even though it's on the 2nd floor, the view is excellent. It was nice being able to eat while looking out over the Millak-dong area.

Kids' chairs are also available.

I got the feeling the food was about to arrive, so I pulled out spoons and chopsticks from the storage space beside the table and set them up. The long-awaited donkaseu, hamburg steak, and mini udon finally arrived.
What the 13,900 won demi hamburg steak comes with

The demi hamburg came with two hamburg steak patties, rice, cabbage salad, macaroni salad, pickled radish, and a soft fried egg. That's quite the lineup, right? ^^

The demi hamburg had a sauce that anyone would like, with a soft texture that made it even better. One bite and I couldn't help but smile hahahaha.

Western-style pork cutlet with a button mushroom kick
Yangchonri Donkaseu comes with the cutlet, rice, cabbage salad, pickled radish, chili peppers, and ssamjang (seasoned soybean paste). The cutlet was on the thin side, but that thin, wide shape is exactly the classic style of old-school Western-style Korean donkaseu. It was still delicious. The button mushrooms on top of the cutlet were the real kick, I think. The mushrooms might actually be tastier than the cutlet itself haha. Actually, the night before this visit I'd had donkaseu for dinner, so I wondered if I'd really be able to enjoy it again. Turns out that worry was unnecessary hahahaha.

Is the mini udon really mini?
Despite having 'mini' in the name, the mini udon is packed full. It's loaded with a variety of ingredients — crown daisy, fried tofu, enoki mushrooms, carrots, green onions, and more. The noodles were springy and chewy, giving it excellent texture. The portion is definitely not small, so those with smaller appetites should keep that in mind!!!

That day too, it was so delicious and filling that we cleaned our bowls until they practically had holes in them.

Looks like I'll have to come back again.
