Uijeongbu bakery with a pick-your-own financier 5-pack: Byway Bakers
In short
Byway Bakers Cheongsa Main Branch is a bakery in Uijeongbu, Gyeonggi that sells financiers and salt bread. For the pick-your-own 5-pack, the writer chose almond choco, salty, vanilla and pistachio financiers, and also took home Wakppu salt bread and fresh blueberry yogurt salt bread. If you want a little of several flavors at once, the 5-pack with vanilla included was the most satisfying choice.

Where to pick your own financiers in Uijeongbu
While looking for a good dessert or bakery spot in Uijeongbu, I ended up visiting Byway Bakers Cheongsa Main Branch. It's famous for its salt bread, but this time I didn't just grab salt bread — I also picked out some financiers, which I love. So I'm writing this mainly around the menu I actually tried myself, for anyone looking for good financiers in Uijeongbu.

For reference, the Cheongsa Main Branch was selected for the National Snack Project, so it's sold at pretty reasonable prices~

What goes into the pick-your-own financier 5-pack
This time I picked the choose-5 financier set. Being able to pick your favorite flavors out of several options was perfect for someone like me who wants to try a bit of everything.
- Almond choco
- Salty
- Vanilla x2
- Pistachio
So that's five in total! By the way, the set price is so reasonable that buying them individually doesn't really make sense — I'd definitely recommend the set!

This place is a partner of Uijeongbu Womanpia postpartum care center, so if you're going there, keep that in mind!

Wakppu salt bread and the rest of the bread lineup
The famous Wakppu salt bread (왁뿌소금빵) comes in three flavors — fig, peach yogurt, and blueberry yogurt. They all looked delicious.

It's also famous for plain salt bread, so I'll have to try that next time :)

The store itself isn't that big, but it has quite a lot of bread varieties.

How the Byway Bakers financiers tasted
Salty financier
The packaging was neat and clean! The first one I tried was the salty flavor, and it seemed like a great match for anyone who loves sweet-and-salty combos. The financier's signature nutty, buttery taste combined with a savory saltiness — honestly, I kept reaching for more.

Vanilla financier, the most satisfying of the five
Vanilla was the flavor I picked twice this time. As always, the basic flavor seems to be the one I reach for most. The subtle vanilla aroma paired so well with the financier's nutty taste that I'd probably pick it again on my next visit. Personally, vanilla was the tastiest, followed by almond choco!

Pistachio financier, and all five flavors at home
I picked one pistachio since I love it, and if you're into nutty flavors, it's worth trying at least once. With all five flavors laid out, it was fun brewing coffee at home and picking through them one by one.

Wakppu salt bread with the almond choco financier
And if you're at Byway Bakers, you can't skip the Wakppu salt bread. I was curious, so I packed one to go this time. I'm a salt bread fan, and having heard how famous it is, I really wanted to try it myself — it felt like a shame to just walk past it. Buying only financiers felt insufficient, so I ended up packing salt bread too! Since this salt bread has yogurt in it, the fruity flavor combined with the salt bread's signature saltiness worked really well.

If you like chocolate, this is a safe pick. The nuttiness of the almond and the sweetness of the chocolate come through together, so it'd pair well with coffee or milk. I actually packed it as a snack for my kid, and she loved it! Even a 33-month-old baby was won over~

She said it tasted so good with milk and asked me to buy it again :) It'd make a great kid's snack or a simple thank-you gift too.

Worth it if you want to try a little of everything
I had the salt bread as a simple breakfast after dropping my kid off at daycare, brewing a cup of coffee — it was filling and delicious :) This time at Byway Bakers Cheongsa Main Branch, I picked several flavors with the choose-5 financier set and also packed the famous Wakppu salt bread and fresh blueberry yogurt. If you're someone who'd rather try a little of many things instead of just one menu item, the choose-5 set is especially good for that. Personally, picking vanilla twice was the most satisfying choice this time, and next time I'd like to try a different financier flavor. If you're looking for a place in Uijeongbu with great financiers or a bakery famous for salt bread, give Byway Bakers Cheongsa Main Branch a visit.
