Today it's Oreno Ramen Eunpyeong, famous as a ramen spot in Eunpyeong-gu!! I love ramen, so while searching for good places near Bulgwang Stream, I ended up here — this place is known for its tori paitan and kara paitan made with chicken broth, so I went in curious about the flavor.. here's my totally honest review, starting now.

Oreno Ramen Eunpyeong is located behind Bulgwang Stream, right out of Exit 2 of Saejeol Station! It's so close to the stream that it looked like a great spot to stop by while out for a walk.

Is there a wait at 5:30pm on a weekday?
When there is a wait, Oreno Ramen Eunpyeong has chairs set up in front of the store where you can sit down. I visited around 5:30pm on a weekday and luckily got in with no wait at all. ⸝⸝•。•⸝⸝

Solo dining at the bar seats and ordering by kiosk
Seating ranged from bar seats to 4-person tables, so it looked really good for solo dining! Sunlight was pouring into the store, giving the whole place a warm, cozy vibe..

The system was to order at the kiosk right by the entrance and then take a seat.

Oreno Ramen Eunpyeong menu and prices
Fitting for a ramen restaurant, the menu is built around two main dishes — tori paitan ramen and kara paitan ramen! You can also add tsukune chashu and a soft-boiled egg as extra toppings〰
- Tori Paitan Ramen - ₩13,000
- Kara Paitan - ₩13,000
- ㄴAdd Tsukune Chashu - ₩3,000
- Zero Cola - ₩2,000

Every table came with green tea and pickled radish as standard, and kimchi was provided extra if you asked for it.

Tori paitan ramen: frothy chicken broth
Tori Paitan Ramen - ₩13,000. Here it comes — a bomb-visual ramen with rich chicken broth topped with a mountain of pale, fluffy foam..

Looking at a few reviews, this foam seems to be a key point of Oreno Ramen? Maybe because of the foam, the broth felt even smoother and deeper..➰

Toppings included wood ear mushroom, scallion, soft-boiled egg, and chicken breast. Taking a bite of noodles with wood ear mushroom and scallion on top was genuinely so good..!!!! Personally, I thought it was even better than the ramen I had in Fukuoka❕❕❕

The chicken breast had a light hint of pepper and was so tender it went perfectly with the ramen..

How spicy is the kara paitan ramen, and is tsukune chashu worth 3,000 won?
Kara Paitan Ramen ₩13,000, plus tsukune chashu add-on ₩3,000. This is tori paitan ramen with spiciness added!

The spice level isn't too intense, just a bit of a kick added, so if you don't do well with rich, heavy flavors, kara paitan might be a good choice!

That chewy wood ear mushroom topping on the ramen is seriously the best.. my favorite topping〰ㅎ..

The tsukune chashu tasted like a minced chicken meatball..? Dipping it in the broth and eating it moist paired really well with the ramen!

And no ramen is complete without a soft-boiled egg.. the yolk was moist and salty-savory, truly a properly done soft-boiled egg.
Free refills on noodles, rice, broth and kimchi
Another amazing thing — noodles, rice, broth, and even kimchi can all be refilled for free!!

We each added half a bowl of rice and thoroughly mixed it into the broth..

Final verdict on Oreno Ramen Eunpyeong
From the rich chicken broth tori paitan piled with pale foam to the pleasantly spicy kara paitan, I ate really well!! If you love ramen, or if you're looking for a great solo dining spot around Eunpyeong-gu, I recommend Oreno Ramen Eunpyeong❕ My final score for Oreno Ramen Eunpyeong is.. 4.5 stars - !! Thanks for the meal♥︎
