Making my own ring at Munak in Yeonsinnae
I'd wanted to make my own one-of-a-kind ring for a while, so when the chance came up to try something different in Eunpyeong, I visited Munak (무낙). It turned out to be a great spot both for a date and for making a special memory 🧡
About a 5-minute walk from Exit 6 of Yeonsinnae Station! Just a short stroll and you'll find the warm, atmospheric Munak. Look for the stylish orange sign on the brick building — Munak is on the 2nd floor.

Being a newly opened workshop, the interior was clean but warm, so from the moment I stepped in I felt relaxed and cozy 🧡 Thanks to that, I could enjoy the process at ease while making jewelry, which made the time feel even more special and pleasant 😊 I thought making your own jewelry with someone special in such a pretty space would make for a truly wonderful memory!

Every corner of the workshop was neatly organized and cleaned, which made it even more comfortable and pleasant to use ✨ Since it's a space for making jewelry, Munak clearly pays close attention to hygiene and cleanliness!

Choosing the heart ring design and size from Munak's samples
At Munak you can browse a variety of samples in person! If you want to make a ring or necklace but aren't sure which design to pick, don't worry 😊 You can take your time looking through the samples, and for anything tricky, the friendly owner will consult with you to help find the design that's just right for you.

After browsing, I sat down, got measured with a ring gauge, and told the owner the style and any extra details I wanted. From the shape and thickness of the ring to the exact design, there were so many options to choose from — it started to feel exciting to be making a ring that's truly one of a kind in the world! It takes about 4 days for the ring to be finished, and you can either pick it up in person or have it delivered. Mine was ready on the 5th day — probably because a weekend fell in between haha.

What the ring making is like for a first-timer
It really stood out how calm and serious the owner was while guiding the class. She wasn't just showing techniques or tips — I could feel she genuinely wanted to properly pass on her own know-how to each person 🧡

Whenever a part got tricky, the owner carefully smoothed and helped me out, so the piece kept looking more polished as we went. Thanks to that, even though this was my first time making an accessory, I was able to finish a well-crafted piece with kind, careful explanations along the way. For those trying a workshop for the first time, she teaches patiently step by step; for those who've done it before, you can learn her own detailed techniques and know-how. If you want to properly learn while making your own jewelry, give Munak's workshop experience a try.

Couple rings at Munak and what to bring with you
Since it's a workshop where you design and make your own couple rings, I felt it could create a much more special memory than an ordinary date 🧡 If you're looking for an unusual date idea or something new to do in Eunpyeong, chatting away with your partner while making a couple ring that exists nowhere else in the world seems really meaningful. From making it together to the moment it's finished, it feels like it'll stay as a precious memory just for the two of you haha. Also, quite a bit of dust flies around while you work, so bringing a mask would make things more comfortable.

Shaping and finishing the heart ring
I tried following one of the heart ring samples at Munak. It was my first time doing this, and it was way more fun than I expected!! Turns out it needs to be done fairly precisely, haha. I shaped the surface and thickness by hand to match the design I wanted, gradually forming my own ring. For the smooth, precise finishing, I asked the owner to help haha. The professional touch really bumped up the quality. But if you want to complete everything yourself from start to finish, you can do the finishing work on your own too!

So how did the ring turn out?
Ta-daaa~~~~~ A ring that's one of a kind in the whole world!

It looked so pretty layered with other rings, and just as good worn on its own since the design stands out either way 🧡 Maybe because I made it myself, I felt even more attached to it, and the quality was way better than I expected — totally satisfied! 👏 I didn't think it would turn out this pretty… isn't this ring so pretty? ㅠㅠ

If you're looking for an indoor date you can enjoy no matter the weather, I'd recommend a jewelry-making workshop! 🧡 You can make a special gift for someone dear to you, and leave behind an unforgettable memory and keepsake made together ✨ If a regular date feels boring, I highly recommend Munak, a workshop in Eunpyeong.
