Samgakji Temporary Public Parking Lot after a stroll through Yongsan's alleys
I've been dieting lately ahead of the main ceremony, so I was avoiding delivery food and anything greasy whenever possible. But every now and then, you need something delicious to blow off steam, right??!! I went out for a weekend stroll around Yongsan and finally visited Samgakji Temporary Public Parking Lot (삼각지임시공영주차장), which I'd been curious about for ages!
There isn't a dedicated parking lot at the restaurant, so we parked at a nearby public lot and walked over. The alleys around Yongsan are narrow and parking is a little tricky, so I recommend looking up the public parking lot location before you go. We parked nearby and walked about five minutes to the restaurant; when the weather is nice, it makes a pretty pleasant little walk too.

Yongsan is the kind of neighborhood with pretty cafés and great places to eat tucked into every alley, so just walking around feels healing. Samgakji Temporary Public Parking Lot, nestled among those alleys, had such a cool vibe right from the sign.

There are seats farther inside too, so it was much bigger than it looked from outside!! The lighting and interior had a cool feel, making it great for photos, and I thought it would be nice for a date as well.

There was a terrace too!! Now that it's lovely autumn weather, I think I'll be coming here often.

The craft burgers and sides we ordered
- Double Bas Burger Set (swapped the side for sweet potato fries / Zero Coke)
- Bas Set (swapped for a chili mozzarella cheese bar / Bas Lager)
- 2-piece Crunchy Chicken (with sriracha mayo)
- Milkshake

Unlimited potato chip self-service bar
The first thing that caught my eye when we walked in was the unlimited potato chips at the self-service bar. As soon as we got our table and placed the order, I grabbed some chips first. They were good on their own, but I sprinkled on a little salt and pepper and they were seriously so delicious, really! 🤍 They were crisp, with the natural potato flavor shining through, so I felt like I was already half full on chips before the burgers even arrived?!

There was mayonnaise and ketchup too.

Munch munch on these wonderfully salty potato chips!!

The Double Bas Burger and sweet potato fries combination
First, about the Double Bas Burger: its two patties were so full of juice that it felt like the juices burst out with every bite. I thought it might be greasy, but it was much lighter than expected, and the vegetables and sauce were so well balanced that I never got tired of it until the end.
I swapped the side for sweet potato fries, and that was such a brilliant move! Their sweetness went perfectly with the salty burger. They were especially good dipped in the milkshake!!

Chili mozzarella cheese bar and Bas Lager
I switched the Bas Set to the chili mozzarella cheese bar, and the stretchy cheese alone was unfairly good. The chili sauce was sweet and spicy, making it perfect with beer. So changing the drink to Bas Lager was another genius move, haha. The beer was refreshing and went down smoothly, and it matched the burger so well.

We dipped the 2-piece Crunchy Chicken in sriracha mayo, and the coating was so crisp while the inside stayed juicy that I finally understood what “crisp outside, tender inside” really means. The sriracha mayo was spicy and nutty, the kind of flavor that keeps you reaching back for more.

Here is the delicious Bas Lager draft beer menu at Samgakji Temporary Public Parking Lot!

Finishing the cheat day with a milkshake
Finally, the milkshake made for a perfect palate cleanser! It wrapped everything up cleanly with no greasiness at all. I was worried because I'm dieting, but the balance of carbs, protein, and fat wasn't bad, and nothing felt heavy, so I could enjoy it without feeling weighed down. I can confidently say that choosing Samgakji Temporary Public Parking Lot for a cheat day was an excellent choice!
For anyone coming to Yongsan—especially if you want a craft burger with a glass of beer—I highly recommend Samgakji Temporary Public Parking Lot. I'm planning to come back next time and try other menu items too~
